Good afternoon all

After several tries to get on here I then lost my post.

The weather here as been sunny all day and no clouds but it was chilly first thing.

That was so quick getting your passports Frank and good that you won't have to take any toiletries with you..

I will be watching some of the wedding tomorrow but like the rest of us I'm fed up with hearing about it every day being so close to Windsor we get even more of it on the local news as well.

Harry is one of my favourite Royals he is down to earth and has done so much for the disabled soldiers and the Invictus games plus also other charities that Diana supported. Losing his mother as such a young age must have been devastating especially as she was such a hands on Mother I hope all goes well for them to tomorrow, Andrew is the only Royal that I don't have much time for

I expect the roads around here will be very busy tomorrow as we are only about 20 minutes away on a good day

Richard has just come in so must now get dinner ready

Afternoon All
I apologise now if I make no sense . We have had a very long liquid lunch with Fitz. Far more than is good for us . Chris has had to go for a sleep . Fitz only dropped in to tell me that a chap who has been interested in one of his ancestors will be coming to see Fitz at home on the 29th. He would like me there as I know all about this ancestor and I can help with lunch :-D
I haven't read any posts yet :-S I might get around to it in a while :-D
It has been a lovely afternoon sitting out .We have chatted about all sorts of things and even things from Chris in his late teens in Greece. He had a Scholarship from Kings College to go and do a month of Archeology .This is the first time I have heard all about this !!! (and we have been married for 37 years !!! )
Fitz was telling us about the damage Muntjc Deers are doing to their lawn. They are digging big holes in it at night. :-S :-S. It seems there is no real way of stopping them.
The holes are called Divots,a bit like when golfers hit a golf ball and yank out a big bit of turf. :-S The whole of the botom part of his lawn is now full of these Divots :-S

I need to get Jame's dinner in soon as he is off to Jess tonight .

Evening all

Sunny here today but poor Sandra is really quite ill now, so I've made a doctors appointment for her. I couldn't get one during today at our surgery the only one I could get was 7.30 tonight at our local hospital out of hours surgery so OH is going to take her in about an hour. I did feel sorry for her as the fella turned up to do the side fence so all the knocking and banging woke her up, she spent the day laying on the sofa watching a few films off the planner. She had some medication earlier which seemed to help a bit and the fella brought his three dogs with him so she was made up to see them. He had them in a cage in the back of his van so they couldn't jump all over her. It cheered her up so that was good. OH has just finished putting the first coat of paint on the new fence so that is looking good now, he'll do another couple of coats tomorrow as he said it's soaking in quite a bit. He also managed to cut the front lawn when the fella had to go out to get more wood but has ran out of time to do the back lawn so no doubt he'll do that one tomorrow.

Did you managed to get both your lawns done Frank? That was quick with your passports arriving, just remember where you put them now as you don't want the new ones going walk about. That was nice of Conrad to sort out all your toiletries that's one less thing to worry about. Sorry to hear you had another bad nights sleep.

So you've had a boozy lunch then Jane, you'll probably sleep well tonight now ;-) It sounds very interesting having someone coming around to talk to Fitz about an ancestor they are both interested in. I'm sure Fitz will be pleased you're going to be there too. It sounds like you've had a interesting afternoon chatting and finding out things you didn't know about Chris.

So Prince Charles is giving Meghan away Liz, that was nice of him to offer as I'm sure Meghan would of been a concerned about it. I wonder if he'll make a speech?

Going to sort out some scrambled egg on toast for Sandra, she doesn't feel like eating anything else. I've bought her some Angel Delight as that will be soft on her throat and also some strawberry ice creams, which she says are helping.

O thats such a shame you had another bad night Frank. Perhaps tonight it will be better. Its good you don't have to take any sundries with you when you go away.

Oh says
Eley 1oz/8th will cure the problem with the deer Jane. If Fitz has bulbs in the lawn where they are digging they are after the bulbs. They eat most bulbs esecially Bluebells.

We have finished the top of the hedge this afternoon. I nearly forgot to go and get our scripts and shot up there at 5.20pm and they close at 6pm on a Friday.

Morning all

Sunny here again today so OH is going to do some more painting on the fence while I watch the Royal Wedding.

Poor Sandra has very inflamed ears and the doctor said it could take up to 2 months to get better. He has given her some antibiotics but in liquid form as she can't take tablets. The flavour is BANANA which she hates and the poor thing has to take 4 spoons full 3 times a day, so not a happy bunny. She isn't to keen on having to get up early to take her first dose each day but if she doesn't get up earlier than she's used to she'll be taking her last dose after midnight, so she took it this morning and gone back to bed where she is fast asleep now. She's not due another dose until this afternoon so I'll leave her to sleep as I think it'll do her good. OH had a word with the doctor and is also on antibiotics for a chest infection, so all in all we've all been unwell recently, lets hope when we've all recovered we don't catch anything else.

The coverage for the wedding is starting now so I'll go and watch it. OH is watching the football later today so we're both sorted with programmes we like :-) :-)

Frank Report 19 May 2018 10:09

Good morning all,

Just reporting before going to the hospital, and then when i get home I will change into Shorts and T Shirt. Have a bit of lunch then go on my jaunts. Football club, "ROYAL OAK" then home for tea, and onto the street party.

Last night was a wonderful evening. We all met at the restaurant. Simon recognised Harvey as he walked across the car park. They haven't seen each over for TWENTY YEARS. Sally and Julia got on like long lost friends. Lewis was his usual bubbly self, who has grown a designer beard. Both Ros and I are delighted everything went off so well.

We all met up at 7.45 pm and had drinks in the foyer while they got the table ready. The food was it's usual top quality with as much as you could eat. Typical of me. I had a few bits and pieces, One crispy duck roll, and a bowl of soup. The others ate for ENGLAND. They had to bring extra starters, another Crispy DUCK. Simon Lewis and Harvey devoted themselves to clearing the lot. Finally it was the MAIN COURSE.Most had the meals on the hot skillet, with Rice and noodles. LEWIS had TWO mains and noodles. He even asked if he could have a DOGGY BAG. But with the all in meals, they won't allow you to take anything home. That seems silly to me, as it only goes to waste.

We finally parted company at 11. 15 pm. So it was a late night for me. I sill didn't have a solid sleep, even after a couple of pints and a couple of G andTs.

Harvey has phoned this morning thanking us for a lovely evening, which put the crean on the top. !!! It's so nice when they take the rouble to thank you.

Lovely day for the "WEDDING" It's a shame most of the world will be siting in doors watching T.V. I will be in the open air, Topping up my tan for my holiday. ;-) ;-)

Have a great day FRIENDS xxxx

Gillx Report 19 May 2018 10:18

I'm so pleased you had a lovely evening Frank. It sounds like there were lots of meals to choose from. Silly that they don't do a doggy bag as like you said it'll only go to waste. Pity you didn't have a good nights sleep, hope you're not to tired today.

Sandra is still sleep and OH is painting the front fence so I'm sitting here alone watching the build up to the wedding. I've decided to take another look at my family tree as it's only people arriving and I don't know any of them yet, so I might as well do something until the wedding starts. I'm pleased the weather is nice for them, I'm looking forward to seeing her dress.

Morning all,

Sounds like you had a wonderfull evening with the family Frank. I bet Lewis is way above you now and he seems such a lovely young chap and now a beard!! I am please everyone got on so well so maybe you can all do it again sometime and Simon and Harvey don't have to wait another 20 years to see each other again.

We have another lovely day here and oh is out mowing the lawns and he said he was having a day off from the hedge.

I have to usual egg delivery to do and see my boys and then up the shop for the paper then this afternoon I AM going up the border. I shall make oh some sausage rolls first to keep him quiet for a couple of days.

Gill I don't know how you all manage to get antibiotics from the doctor. We have a devil of a job to get them down here as they won't give them out to most folk and say the body will fight it its self. Oh can have them being as he is diabetic but he won't take anything unless he really has to. I can understand how they would give them to Sandra and it sounds like the horrid stuff we used to get as children but ours was thick and strawberry flavoured but I don't know where they got that from. Always given with one of those big plastic spoons. I hated it when I had ear ache as thats what I was given. It came in a brown bottle.

Afternoon All
Oh what a wonderful Wedding :-D :-D I just thought it was just soooo lovely . Meghan looked beautiful and Harry bless him looked a bit hot and sweaty in his Uniform.
There was one rather skittish horse that bothered me .I thought he was ready to take off LOL . Gareths Mum just rang me and so we have had a wedding talk for nearly an hour!!.

Frank what a great evening you had last night with all the family :-D :-D, and Simon ,Harvey ,Julia and Sally all getting on so well .I bet you were a Happy Chappy :-D

Gill , I am so sorry that Sandra is still unwell . I think they need to change the flavour of liquid meds from Banana to something like Strawberry ..That would be far more palatable .

Mel ,can yoy tell me what this Eley thing is that might help Fitz's Deer probelm . I tried to look it up but found nothing :-S
I have done nothing today other than to strip Hannahs bed and get it washed before she gets here tomorrow.I need to make the bed up now as all is dry.

Enjoy the footie Frank...I will not be watching :-D

Its a shot gun cartridge.

Oh just shot a squirrel up our big ash tree.

Anne Report 19 May 2018 16:46

It was such a lovely wedding as Jane said, Meghan looked so beautiful in her dress and the little pages and bridesmaids did so well. I thought at one point Harry had shed a few tears. Everyone looked so happy apart from Victoria Beckham who would have been more suitable at a funeral she couldn't even manage a slight smile.

Pleased that everyone enjoyed last evening Frank and everyone got along so well.

I did a Frank this morning and tripped and fell outside the kitchen door, thought at first I had cracked a rib, I have taken pain killers and feel comfortable sitting down but it is painful when I move so won't be doing much this afternoon, I was going to do some gardening which is annoying..

Richard went into Bracknell town centre this morning to go to the cinema he said they had a large screen up by M&S showing the wedding. He has gone to Oxford this afternoon as it's Kathy's birthday and she and John are doing a barbeque, this is first time he has seen John since he had the cardiac arrest.

I do hope the medicine helps to make Sandra feel better Gill it's a pity she doesn't like the banana flavour,

Happy birthday to your son Mel.

LOL Mel. I think is a non starter then with Fitz. The Deer will continue to ravage the lawn :-S

I could have told you Jane!!!
Watched some of the wedding, but spent most of the morning in the sun!! Bit like the curates egg for me, lovely in parts but not my c.o.t in others. Thought the Queen and the Duke were spot on. What a stalwart pair they are! Prince Charles and Camilla looked just the business, (and were really considerate and kind to M's mother) as did the little helpers! Lovely dress, not sure about pure (?!!) white the second time round! Ivory might have been more appropriate, but that's just me! Loved the military, and the crowds! The Chapel flowers were incredible! Pity V.B never smiles or stands up straight!! I wonder why she slouches, it's not as if she's taller than hubby! All in all a successful day, and we both wish the newly weds every happiness! Paul Burrell tried to gatecrash, was stopped and turned away! I should think he's the last person they'd want to see!! What an idiot!!

Gillx Report 19 May 2018 17:38

I thought the same as you Jane about the horse, the rider did very well to keep it under control. Wasn't Meghan's veil long? I thought her dress was a bit plain but she did look lovely though. Sandra hates banana's so the medicine isn't very pleasant for her, but if it clears her ears I'm sure she can put up with it for a while. She has a drink of blackcurrant juice after it to take the taste away. Hopefully she'll feel the benefit of the medicine soon. She loves strawberries so if they were to change the taste to that, then she'd be okay with it. Talking of Strawberries, her plants are full of flowers in the greenhouse so she should have lots of strawberries to eat this year. I've noticed the bluebell climber I got off my mum last year is starting to thicken out now although it's still not very tall yet, but at least it's heading in the right direction and not died on me, so that's good.

Like you Anne I thought Victoria Beckham looked like she was going to a funeral with her dark clothes and not a smile in sight. She always seems to look miserable doesn't she? I like the way David Beckham was having his photo taken with those children though, he's really kind isn't he? Sorry to hear you've had a fall, I hope you're not to sore and can get back to your gardening soon <3

Gillx Report 19 May 2018 17:45

We posted at the same time Liz. Fancy Paul Burrell trying to gatecrash the wedding. I missed that bit, but like you said "What an idiot"
Yes, I thought the flowers were amazing, it must of taken forever to do, nice that they used white roses in memory of Harry's mother, what a nice gesture.

Evening all,

Well that wedding was different ,i thought that US Bishop was never going to stop LOL
I liked the dress but i thought it was a little bit plain too ,just a little lace might have looked nice but i loved the long veil and all the little bridesmaids and the look on that page boys face when the trumpets sounded was a picture :-D
The flowers were beautiful in the church .

I wonder if VB can smile ,perhaps she has had work done on her face and carn't smile ,those heels she wears must push her forward when she walks so it looks like she slouching .

Oh it's horrible taking medicine that you don't like the taste of ,i hope it does the trick for Sandra and she soon feels better .

Your going to feel sore tomorrow Anne after your fall ,i hope it's not a cracked rib ,all you can do is take the painkillers and move slowly when you get up .

Happy birthday to your son Mel , it must be very hard for you not seeing him <3

Sounds as if you all had a lovely evening last night Frank ,you'll have to do it again .

I did think how lovely it was though when they went to sign the register that Prince Charles offered her his arm and she grabbed his hand .

Frank

Frank Report 19 May 2018 20:29

Well as said yesterday, I did't watch the wedding, I had other things on my mind.

I went to the hospital this morning regarding my eyes. The first person I saw was a nurse who put drops in my eyes, and sent me back to the waiting area. I was called by another person, who looked in my eyes through an instrument with bright lights and more drops. By this time I was getting peed off with it all. Then I was called to another doctor/specialist, who put more drops in my eyes and shoun (sp) a very bright light in my eyes, and looked behind my eyes. Only to announce that he thought I had A CANCER behind my left eye. He said it is such a manner of fact way, I thought he was JOKING. He sent me to have a blood test, but the department was closed when I got there 12.03 pm. They closed at.12.00 noon. I came home, and will ring my doctor Monday morning for their advice. Needless to say I was not a HAPPY BUNNY. When i got home I had lunch and went to the PUB. After 5 pints and feeling a little more relaxed I rang Ros to take me to the Football Club. I was greeted like a GOD. Everyone who was there and knew me, shock my hand or embraced me. I haven't been up there for years. What a lovely greeting. I arranged for Ros to give me 45 minutes, then come and collect me, which she did.

After a nice dose in the armchair Val Barker rang to see if Ros was going the street Party, which she did. So I have beed on my own licking my wounds, and feeling sorry for myself. Roll on Monday morning when I can getting touch eithmyown DOCTOR.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 19 May 2018 23:13

O poor you Frank. Mum had all those eye tests that you have had today so I know just what you have been through as I was always with her in the different departments with the the docters. Mum had a bleed on the back of her eye and had to have injections for it. I hope you get better advice from your own doctor but he may not have the results from the hospital on Monday.

I did watch the wedding with oh and I too thought her dress very plain but beautifully cut and fitted. The train was amazing and I wanted to see her get up from that chair she was sitting on to see how she managed the dress but they did'nt show that.

That sounds like a nasty fall you had this morning Anne. I hope its not too painful and you get a good nights rest. Give that Ruby a cuddle for me and don't let her jump up at you.

Well I hav'nt done much at all today. I just did'nt feel like going up the border and felt very tired after lunch so I just fiddled with some beads and looked through my bits and pieces.

I knew Liz wold know what I was talking about Jane with Ian on the shoot.
