We have chicken pieces in sweet chilli sauce. I shall give oh some mushroom rissotto with his and I shall have plain rice.
I am also doing a nice fresh fruit salad which I have been fancying for a few days now so bought all the fruit yesterday.
Frank have you only got the one dog now, just Biggles? Sounds like the gardener did a good job on your tree and the plants you wanted out. Will you have him again?
I put all the strings up for my clematis just to the left of the back door off the patio this morning. I did'nt cut it down in February but left it till April so its a bit late.
Oh has been mowing and I must admit the lawns are looking great at the moment.
We did'nt hear from Mandy yesterday?? Hope they are both ok.

Afternoon All
I wondered about Mandy too Mel. It is not often she misses a day .Maybe they have been busy. Frank, £30 sounds a great price for the work that chap did today.Did it take him long? I bet you love dear old Biggles being around.I know you won't get a dog but just having one to look after now and then sounds the perfect idea. There are lots of people who would love to have someone like you to have their dogs for a while.(Rather than have them in Kennels).
I ordered tablets today too and also booked an appointment on line as I had a letter saying I needed to make an appontment in the next 4 weeks (to do with a recent investigation) I am guessing it can only be my MRI,or possibly a blood test I had done but the results of that were to go back to the Consultant. Maybe my GP was informed if something wasnt right with my results.( Cholesterol ?? ). Chris had the Dentist this morning and has to have 2 teeth out :-S Not because they are bad but so loose. I think he is going to have to have a partial denture. He is not happy about it :-D. Then he had to do his Tax thingy on line this afternoon. I made him shut the door so he could be tucked away without me getting i nthe way and annoying him. I do wish this wind would die down. It's really blowy and in fact was quite chilly this morning. I am fed up hoovering up all the sticky petals that get dragged in . Ooh I spotted the biggest and longest cobweb this morning. It was on the landing ceiling from one end to the other !!!!! :-0 :-0. I was really horrified that I hadn't seen it before. The light is not too good up there (that is my excuse ;-) ) Ready meals(Low Cal ) for the men tonight. I am just going have a couple of Eggs and Baked Beans.Maybe just one Egg.James really needs to lose weight,as I do too :-|
Thomas has just scarpered as we have just done his worm treatment on the back of his neck. He won't be back now for a few hours !

Evening all,
I'm here :-D yesterday was Jakes birthday and by the time we got home and fed and walked Max the time was getting on and we were so tired so we had an early night .
This morning was so chilly i couldn't believe the difference in the temperature compered to the day before ,we walked Max this afternoon and had a sit on the seat near the church ,we didn't stay there very long as it was like a wind tunnel and my ears were frozen just sitting for a few minutes ,it was nice to get home and have a hot cuppa .
Oh i'm glad Hannah has her dress that's one thing sorted ,whats next Jane Bridesmaids dresses ? I expect it is to do with your MRI Jane ,talking of tablets i must ring and see if my Hay fever tablets have been put back on my prescription ,they had been taken off as i hadn't ordered any of them for six months but it's not some thing you have over the winter months !!! the lady on the desk told me that i could fill in a request form for them but they might not go back on as its some thing i could buy over the counter and doctors have been told to take them off prescriptions .
That sounds a good price form the gardening chap Frank ,could you use him to help with the lawns ? Could you get a hospital car for your appointment Frank ,they do one here where you pay and it's just you that they pick up and wait to take you home ,not like the other one that picks up lots of people and you have to wait until everyone has done before you can come home .
Cannabis Oil ? don't pack that when you go on holiday :-D they might have the sniffer dogs out :-D :-D
Your OH has done well doing all that hedge Mel ,i'm sure you wouldn't want to change him for a younger model would you . Have you found out where the chickens are escaping from ?
Tomorrow is the day for getting the swimming pool up and filled ,son and DIL are coming to help us once the children are all in school, Lewis seems to have settled in well at nursery ,when he came out on his first day he said " Daddy i have had fun today " Once the pool is up we are taking them out for lunch as we haven't been out together for lunch for a while.

Evening all, Glad everything is O.K. Mandy. I understand where the time goes, today I kept meeting myself coming back. After Barry left, Ros put in loads of plants, and I started to water the drive and front garden. Then the patio, and flower beds down both side. All the trays in the greenhouse were almost dry so filled them up. Ros put the Runner beans in yesterday, so that's more watering for me. !!!!
It would be nice to think I could use Barry to help in the garden ad do the lawn, but as I said, you never know when he is coming.
Hope everything goes O.K. with the appointment Jane. We only have Biggles at the moment. JJ comes Friday evening, so then we will know if they both get on. I hope so, otherwise it will be difficult keeping them apart. :-| :-| :-| Knowing both dogs, I think they will be fine.
We have had dinner, and TWO clean plates says we both enjoyed it. I did all the washing and drying up, as Ros is almost out on her feet, her back is killing her tonight. She is now sitting with her feet in the foot spa, so that might help her relax.
I see we have another A & E programme on tonight. I did enjoy last nights, so hope I can stay up long enough to see tonights. I feel shattered. ;-) ;-)
Tony has said he will take me to the hospital on the 26th June, so that's great.
Cold beer time, so see you in the morning.

I'm glad you're ok Mandy. We do worry when someone dos'nt post, silly because being so far apart there's nothing we can do about it.
I put up all the strings for the clematis so thats a good job done but I think I have told you that already. Senior moment.........
When I shut the chickens in just now my headlight caught a pair of eyes so I walked towards it. It was a tiny fox cub and I was only about 12 foot away and it just sat there.
Last night when turning the light out one was by where I feed the hogs.

Morning all,
Last out first in today.
Its cloudy here this morning so it looks like the nice weather is going for the childrens half term holiday and I have bought those water squirters for the boys next door.
It rained a little here last night but only enough to wet the ground a bit.
I had my tablet on the table looking at the hogs and when I came out of the shower and sat at the table and glanced at the screen the fox cub was in the feeding ring eating the hogs food.

Good Morning Mel and all,
We had rain in the night, it would do after I spent all that time watering. They say we will get brighter sky's later this afternoon.
Lewis is due up ro see us for lunch, so Ros has nipped to Tesco to get some bits.
I am wandering round like a ZOMBIE this morning. Did't have a good night again, awake again at 5.00 am. I really feel like I could go back to bed and sleep for a week.
I have had my shower and shave, and put a short sleeve shirt on with a pair of joggers. I don't think it's that warm this morning. I have even put the heating on low.
Biggles is lying under my legs again this morning. He keeps looking up as though to say "I'M HERE" give me a stroke. lol lol
How lovely to see a baby fox cub.I always think that they look beautiful on the nature programmes. Mel, has anyone every tried to tame a cub, and bring it up as a pet. ??? I really don't know if it would work.
Dinner tonight will be either Sirloin steaks with the trimmings, or a roast chicken with roasties and veg. I have them both out of the freezer so Ros can choose.
Anything exciting happening today girls. ?? Me, I will read my book and no doubt have 40 winks.
See you all later. xx

Morning all
Lovely and sunny again today although there is rain forecast over the next couple of days, then the weekend it's suppose to be 30 degrees so I won't be going anywhere in that heat. Even OH said he'd melt working in the front as it's south facing, so we'll stay indoors and watch the F1 instead. Hopefully it'll be a bit cooler next week so we can make a start on sorting out the front garden.
OH and I decided to paint the whole of the outside of the bungalow, we didn't realise how mucky it was until OH did the front bit, so between us it took us a couple of days. OH then bought some really nice burgundy/red coloured paint to do the bricks along the bottom and down the sides, it's looks really good now and even the neighbours have said how much better it is. The hedge has been cut so isn't sticking out so far over the path by the road now, hopefully that'll stop the council sending us a letter to cut it, they do that if hedges go over the path way to much. We think we might be able to tie the hedge back onto some wooden posts so we don't have to dig it out and put a fence there as we've spent so much lately with the other fence, the gate and all the painting, so can't really afford to have the hedge out and another fence put in as the quote we had was almost £700.
I see Hannah has found the perfect wedding dress Jane, I don't blame you for having a few tears. I'm sure they'll be more tears at the wedding. I love to see a picture if you have one.
Pleased to see Ros's operation date has come through Frank. That was good timing with it being after your holiday. You are good looking after her. It sounds like you're gong to have your hands full with the dogs hope they both get on with each other. Has anyone got in touch with you off the Blisworth Community page about your garden yet? At least you've had a few jobs done and £30 was a good price. Pity he's not very reliable though. I hope you manage to find someone who's more reliable soon. Sorry to see you didn't have a good nights sleep last night, hope you have a better one tonight.
That's a good idea to sort out the logs for the winter Liz, is your OH going to fill the shed? I don't have a wood burner so don't know how many logs you need to get you through the winter.
So it was the MOT for your car Mel, pleased to see it passed, it sounds a good car, you are very fond of. So you have a fox cub around now?
Happy belated birthday wishes to Jake Mandy. Is your swimming pool up now? Let's hope the weather stays sunny so you can all enjoy a nice dip. How big is your pool?
OH has gone out for the day to his mates and Sandra is still asleep, so I think I'll take a look at my family tree while it's quiet.

Is there a way you could cover it up with black bags so the light won't get to it Mel, then once it's dead you could cut it all off, I know it won't get rid of it for good but it would be less work and have the same look as if it had been dug out. Or maybe spray it with some week killer if you don't have to many plants around it. I hope your neck feels better soon <3
I'm just catching up with all the Chelsea Flower Show programmes I've recorded. I've hardly been indoors for a few days with helping OH do the painting and I've also tidied up some of my pot plants, as like you Mel I had lots of weeds growing in the pots so my planner is almost full now. I don't have anything planned for today so thought I'd clear the planner ready for the next lot of recordings.

Forms for the PPI have arrived and although it is for me, I've asked OH to have a look through it just to make sure I've not misread anything! everything checked out so that'll be in the post asap. Shopping this morning, nothing else planned. You've been busy Gill! I expect your bungalow looks a treat!! Jane, Have you seen 'Camilla's rather large pink hat? I thought it might give you some ideas!!!!

Well the little GANNET is here, He has had two sandwiches. four pieces of sourdough French Stick, with ham, cheese, onion and tomato, Coffee, and a slice of Lemon Pie. I think I would prefer to keep him for a day, rather than a week. lol lol
Harvey and Julia are driving down to France tomorrow for a week. So Lewis is going to ring his Dad to see if he can be of any help this afternoon, to enable them to get off earlier tomorrow. He's such a thoughtful lad.
Gill we watched half hour of Chelsea last night, between her soaps, then watched the A & E programme. Did anyone see it. ?? What a marvellous job those people do. Where would we be without them ???
It's turned out to be a lovely afternoon. Ros and Lewis together with Biggles are on the lawn catching a bit of sun.
I'm still feeling like a lost soul, no energy whatsoever, and not interested in doing anything. I think I will sit quietly, and try to get some zzzz.

I didn't watch the A&E programme Frank, but agree with you what a great job they do. Did you watch the NHS Heroes awards the other night. I almost cried all the way through it. Paul O'Grady was the host. It sounds like a bit of a sleep would do you the world of good. Fighting sleep can sometimes make you feel worse.
Did you see "Welcome to Yorkshire" garden Frank, that was my favourite and won Gold. I'm just watching the next programme now to see if it got "Best in Show" I hope it does, it was a brilliant garden and really deserves it.
Yes the bungalow looks so much better now Liz and the front looks better with the new gate and fence, plus OH cutting the hedge yesterday, so we're getting there. We're hoping the weather cools down a bit so we can tackle the actual garden as it looks very shabby and needs sorting out. The boundaries are starting to look good now so that's good. OH wanted to finish the painting before the weekend as it's going to be really hot, to hot to do any work in, so he's pleased it's all finished.
My favourite garden didn't win "Best in Show", it was Chris Beardshaw's garden for the NSPCC, which was a lovely too, so I'm pleased for them. Chris Beardshaw was being interviewed when they surprised him with the award. Mind you he has done around 38 show gardens around the world, so I'm not surprised he got best in show.

It always make my smile Frank, when I hear how much Lewis manages t oeat when he comes to visit :-D :-D.. Was that Sourdough Stick from Tesco? I buy that one and it is so good(it doesn't upset my tum either) I expect Biggles and JJ will get on fine Frank. As you say you know them both well enough now and know their temperaments They might well enjoy each others company.
Mandy sorry I missed Jakes Birthday the other day.I bet his Mum and Dad are happy he is loving Nursery . It must the first time in years that DIL hasn't had a child at home !.Freedom :-D :-D. I hope the pool is up and filling and that you have all ejoyed your lunch out together today. I see that the Antiques Road Show was filming on Cromer Pier today.Did you get anywhere near that way?
GILL ! what work you have got done in just a couple of days. The bungalow sounds a real treat now on the outside, and nice for you that the neighbours have commented on how good it looks :-D :-D.
Mel ,funny how the little Foxcub has found the Hogs food :-D. They do look so cute when they are little. It is a shame thay grow up and kill Chickens :-( I worked for a Vet years ago and one of the Vets and his wife had a rescued Fox.They called her Abigail and she was so tame, just like a normal pet dog.
Liz ,,I hope you get a good payout on your PPI . We did sooo well from 3 or 4 . One was from a store card going back to 1979 !!!!!!! I wont say how much we had but it was a lot and a great shock especially as I had to push Chris to apply LOL . He had really thought it would have been a waste of time . I did see Camilla's big pink hat.Quite a whopper wasnt it. No I didnt get any ideas LOL She always suits a large hat. Maybe because she has a lot of hair. I little hat perched on top of all that would look a bit daft I think :-D I am just so not a hat person
I reckon it must be the turn of Hannah's 2 Bridesmaids now to be sorted. No doubt there will be a few days sorted to go 'looking' :-D But I dont think it will be for a few weeks as Hannah is going to Valencia next week for a friends Hen Do and then it is the Ben Nevis climb. I am not really sure how easy that is going to be as the girls havent really managed ot get much practise in. I am just glad they have paid to have a guide with them .
Chris has just uncovered the BBQ. I just needs a quick wash and it will be fine for Sunday.
It is still really windy here and it is making my eyes all itchy :-S

Evening all,
Phew it's been so hot here today ,pool is up and filling the children will be excited but it will need a few days to warm up a bit , it's fifteen foot across Gill and when i stand up in it it's just over my waist high so just right for swimming . We all enjoyed our lunch ,Lewis came too as he only goes to nursery for the morning so he tucked into his lunch bless him, they had colouring pages and crayons for the children so he sat colouring and i had to smile as he put the crayon behind his ear ,i think he's seen Colin do that when he's been working LOL
We keep thinking about this PPI ,is it on credit cards ? as we use to use one from Nat West years ago ,where do you get the forms from to apply ?
Gill the bungalow sounds as if it's had a real good spruce up ,you won't know the place when you've had a go in the garden . Hope Sandra is well on the mend now
LOL Frank that Lewis can really tuck food away but it's better than being a fussy eater .
We ate in the town today Jane but i did see on the tele that they were filming in Cromer ,on the pier i think ,bet that was a bit blowy on there .

I know what the children would call me if i was to wear a big fancy hat ... Mrs Bouquet/ Bucket :-D :-D :-D. I have only worn a hat twice for weddings. Once for my Sisters second Marriage and another for her Daughters. When I look back at the photos I just know Hats are not for me :-D. My Sister can carry one off beautifully.
I was just telling Chris that I saw at Tesco 3 large bags of Blue Slate for £10 ,so he will get some as he thought that sounds quite a good deal. There is no way I could lift them let alone hoist them into a trolley and then out again into the boot of the car :-S They also had bags of Cotswold Stones.
