Well we're in bed after a wet dull evening :-( The one bright spark has been our dear little maid who has been such a sweet little soul, first on my lap, then OH's. teddy in tow!! She then wriggled around on the floor making us laugh. She just brightens our lives beyond belief! I can't believe how reluctant I was when we first had her. She's certainly stolen both our hearts - nearly as much as Millie!! <3

That's a big swimming pool Mandy, plenty of room for everyone to have a nice swim. It must take forever to fill up though.

Sandra is still a bit under the weather. She's just over half way through her meds so hopefully she'll feel more herself soon. It's starting to get her down a bit now as her nose keeps running and her cough just doesn't seem to want to go, I think she's getting fed up of her blocked ears too, but like I said to her, each day she takes her meds is a day closer to being better. We found some strawberry ice creams so she has been having those each day to ease her throat as there isn't much she can eat without it hurting her. I know how she feels as I was the same last week so can sympathise with her. She is sleeping a lot which I think is helping.

Good luck with your PPI claim Liz. I'll keep my fingers crossed all goes well for you. Give Cas a hug from Sandra and I, she's such a cute little dog and very loving by the sounds of it......bless her.

You don't want to be lifting heavy bags Jane, can't the shop deliver them for you. It sounds like a good price though, but not worth hurting yourself over.

Yes we worked hard for a couple of days doing all the painting as the weather forecast is for heavy rain tomorrow and OH knew he was out today. I must admit now it's all finished, I'll be glad of a bit of rain, the garden could really do with it. I think it will help us dig over the borders in the front too. With it being South facing the ground is like concrete so would be almost impossible to dig over without us having to wet it first to soften it. So if it rains it'll save us that job.

I'm shattered now so I'm off to bed, see you all tomorrow
Night Night

Oh thanks Gill. Knowing our luck I won't be eligible, but it's worth a try!
Hope Sandra is feeling better today, these bugs are a real nuisance and can be difficult to shift. It's rained a lot here, and as you say it saves watering and gives a rest from the gardening!! Thing with Cas is that she is always so cheerful, so however down you feel, she always without fail, cheers you up with her antics!!!!
Here comes OH with a cuppa, so I'll wish you all a happy day!

Morning Liz and all,

We had rain yesterday evening and I think its done the ground good as it really needed it. A brightish day today and it is very warm but the sky is light grey.

If it stays dry as it is at the mo I shall venture up the border again today if Ican stand it after yesterday. Not too achey at present but will see how I feel after bending over for a while.

Oh woke me at an unearthly time this morning to tell me I had a chicken out which I must have left out all night. Serves her right for hiding when I went and shut them in. I say night night to them every night so she should have come to me but it was quite light when I went round yesterday thinking they were all in I opened the nest box and told Bum Bum to get on the perch which she did after me shining the torch light to show her where the perch is so the other one had plenty of time to come to me to let her in.

Liz I remember you being dubious about having another dog but Cas has certainly filled the bill for you both.

No did Frank sleep well last night. I must have dropped off the moment my head hit the pillow last night as I don't remember laying there thinking about blue.

Frank

Frank Report 25 May 2018 10:51

Good morning Liz, Mel and all.

WET morning here. It started after I went to bed, and still raining this morning.

Lewis decided to try to sort out my "T" yesterday. I wish he hadn't, it's worse than it was before.

Ros has been to the Drs to pick up the scripts, They wouldn't give them to her as they are not due yet. When she said why didn't someone ring and tell us, she said they did LIARS. So Ros has taken them to a Chemist to get them made up. We do not have enough tablets for our holiday, that's why she put the order in early.

Yet another bad night, I am thinking of the result from the hospital, so not really relaxed at the moment.

Liz, I am now reminded what great company a dog can be. Biggles is at my feet whenever I sit down, he rolls over for a tummy rub and loves having a fuss..

I'm signing off so as I can try to sort out this "T" See you Later

Bunnyboo Report 25 May 2018 11:16

Forgive me Frank, but what's your 'T'?! I expect I'm being particularly dim so apologies!! Try not to worry too much - easier said than done I know!!
Yes it's rained hard here but is trying to clear up now, it's not that warm!!!
Nothing doing here, I expect OH will finish planting out the greens in the cage, but apart from that?!!
Hope you chicken is Ok Mel! Night time can be a dangerous place for wandering hen!!

Gillx Report 25 May 2018 11:58

Morning all

It's raining here, not much but there are plenty of clouds around so I think it might give us a good down pour which will help my Hebe's as they don't like tap water so haven't had a good drink for quite some time now. I've swapped a plant over for a lovely pink flowering one, (sorry can't remember the name), Sandra's face lit up when she saw it as it's her favourite colour.....PINK. It's quite a large plant and where I had it you could only see the top, so now it's in pride of place nearer the bungalow where we can see all the flowers.

Hope you can get your "T" sorted Frank. The "T" is the letter on Frank's keyboard Liz....well, I hope I've got it right, if I remember correctly he was talking about it falling out a while back, unless it was another letter I'm thinking of :-S :-S Sorry to hear you had another bad night, do you think it's all the heat we've had lately Frank, maybe now it's raining it will cool down enough for you to have a proper nights sleep. Try not to worry about your results, it won't change anything and won't help your sleeping either. I know it's not easy but try your best or you'll make yourself ill with worry. Have they said how long you'll have to wait for your results? Hopefully you'll know something before you go away. I'll keep my fingers crossed for good news. I hope you manage to get hold of your Meds in time for your hols Frank. OH is on another bout of antibiotics as the last lot hasn't cleared his chest. Sandra is a bit brighter today so that's good, I think she just had a bad day yesterday with it all as she doesn't get ill very often and the coughing and running nose was driving her mad yesterday. I've recorded a few programmes she likes so I'm going to put them on for her to take her mind off things for a while, hopefully that'll help her.

You were lucky the Fox didn't get your chicken Mel, maybe she just fancied a night out on the tiles lol :-D :-D Be careful in your garden, you don't want to hurt yourself again. Could you get someone in to sort that patch out for you, if I lived closer I'd of come round and done it for you?

Bunnyboo Report 25 May 2018 12:27

Oh I see Gill!!!! I thought perhaps it was something familiar only to Frank!!!
Glad you're all feeling a bit better. It's stopped raining here but very dull! Might try and do some weeding this afternoon! Again!!!

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 25 May 2018 13:02

The chicken was in the run and not out in the field so as safe as they ever are. They have an open fronted shelter with a big fish holding tank in it so she should have been quite cosy in there. I think she laid her egg just at the side of the tank but it had a soft shell and when I let the others out this morning they rushed to the shell and ran off with bits of it in their beaks.

I should think if your eye is anything to really worry about they would have been in touch with you by now Frank. Try not to worry too much.

I have put pegs in the wire around the chicken run this morning but I think they may be standing on the shelter and then going over the fence. I can't get the fence any higher now so they may all have to have their wings clipped.

Afternoon Everyone
What a miserable day it is. The rain has stopped now but it is very misty.
I hope Ros has managed ot get all the tablets from another Chemist. Fancy them saying they had rung and you know darned well they didnt :-S :-S

Poor Sandra has had a real rotten time with feeling so ill .It is certainly taking time to clear. But another day or two and she should be fighting fit again.

Oh I do miss having a dog.Cas sounds such a lovely girl to have around, and as you say Liz they do cheer you up if you are feeling a bit down .I used to love having a snuggle with Chester especially first thing in the morning when he would race up the stairs and into my bed :-D.He would dive right under the Duvet and stay there until I got up. The only thing with him was he would follow me everywhere (even to the toilet ) which got very tedious at times.I do miss him.

Mel ,good job your loose Girl didn't get gobbled up by the Fox.Maybe she roosted in one of your hedges overnight.

Lunch time now. I found a Fritatta in the fridge that should have been used 2 days ago .Im sure it will be ok though once it is heated through thoroughly . It has Chorizo,Feta and Red Peppers . I shall watch the news and Doctors while I have that and then get on with a Chicken Casserole for tonight. H&G wont be here until about 9 and will be starving ,so I thought it will just be easy to keep the dish hot and the Mash .

I have moved the Wedding dress from her room into ours as we dont want Gareth to have a sneaky peak. Not that he would.

Frank Report 25 May 2018 15:55

Horrible afternoon here, still got drizzle in the air.

You must have missed the saga of my "T" Liz. I have it stuck with a bit of blue-tack. I have two new ones, but not sure I can fit either.

I had a nice bit of Pate for lunch, but boy, did it give me indigestion. I have had some Galveston so a lot better now.

Roast Chicken. Jersey royal, Broard beans (for Ros) carrots, brussels and runners.

Ros went out in such a "PADDY" after the Drs. She forgot to take the prescriptions, so had to come back for them (STEAM COMING FROM HER EARS) lol lol. Back she went to get hr nails done, then off to the hairdressers. I don't expect her back before 5.30/6.00 pm.

My right shoulder and neck has been a B@@@er today. I have taken my Canabis Oil and put on two lots of cream, the ache is just starting to subside.

Hope everyone is well, and pleased Sandra feels a bit better Gill. xxx

I am just goig to check the chickens to see if there are any out.

I think there is rain in the air.

Jane

Jane Report 25 May 2018 17:46

Frank, hopefully Ros will have chilled out a bit having her nails and hair done. You better be good and not say anything that will annoy her when she gets in LOL .Days like she has had are horrible.

So the chicken was still in the run. I had visions of her right out in the Orchard bit. I think you said before that you thought they got on top of the tank and jumped over the top. Lots of little escape artists :-D. If you have to have the wings clipped do you do it yourself? I would hate to try that just in csae I chopped the whole lot off :-S

It is still not nice here. The mist has cleared but it is just so dull and dreary.

I know what you mean Les, I've been away from my childhood area for a number of years now but notice how much it has changed over the years when I visit my MIL who still lives in the area.

It sounds like Ros has had a bit of a day Frank, I hope she's feeling better now. Hope you're feeling a bit better too and your shoulder isn't hurting you now.

Pleased to see all your chickens are present and correct tonight Mel. Did you get much done in your border? It's been pouring with rain here all day, so apart from moving a plant this morning I've done nothing in the garden. At least I won't have to water all my pots tonight now. I'm hoping it's not raining in the morning then I might be able to dig over the front garden borders now the rain has softened it.

Your Chester sounds a lot like my Pixie when she was a kitten Jane, she'd follow me everywhere and even sat on the edge of the bath while I was in it, although once she got bigger she decided sitting on the tiny corner of the bath wasn't a good idea as she could of fallen in the bath. Jez our other cat followed OH around all the time too, although she didn't go in the bathroom when he was in there. Sophie our middle cat wasn't bothered at all with anyone and kept herself to herself. Funny the things you remember isn't it? :-)

I've just watched the end of the Chelsea flower show and my favourite garden "Welcome to Yorkshire" got the people's choice award. I'm so pleased, I've been waiting all week in the hope they got that award after missing out on the "Best in Show" . So my favourite garden got a Gold, Best Construction Award and The People's Choice Award.
I'm a happy bunny now :-D :-D
