I shall have to have a look at that Gill. I have never had it come up before. O yes I just left the o out of come and it came up again and I did what you said. I have never seen that before. Would it be something I have done? Like touched a key somewhere on the keyboard?

Maybe you didn't type the letter o hard enough for it to register Mel. I'm a touch typist and sometimes letters are missed out because they haven't been hit hard enough, so maybe the same thing is happening to you. Glad the spell check worked for you ;-) ;-)

OH came home frozen after footie......was wishing he'd worn his trapper hat instead of the woolly one as it was very exposed near the fens.

Gill, I think a lot of people are worried about keeping their jobs these days and are probably being taken advantage of by some employers. Still, as your hubby is reliable and hardworking they should want to keep him and also keep him happy. Have you any idea what Sandra would like for her birthday? What is she interested in?

I am off to Dun*** to get a couple more sheets.The last one I bought which was only a few weeks ago have started to go a bit bobbly .Which is really bad ,and it wasn't a cheap one either.I think I will splash out on a proper Egyptian Cotton .I think there is a 20% off today in the store.so hopefully that might include the good sheets :-D

The Rat box was empty again this morning.Chris only filled it again late yesterday afternoon.It is making me wonder how many of the little critters we actually have out there :-S :-S

I just have to clean my specks (they are filthy) and then I'll be off.It started of a lovely sunny morning but now the sun has gone and it is all cloudy.

Bit of a dull day here so far, lots of cloud,s but dry.

Sandra likes shopping Ann, so I was thinking of taking her to Chester. There are lots of shops there so she can have a good look around and then maybe we could go down to the river if the weather is nice. There's a lovely little café down there where we could have lunch and then we could just take it from there. I'm sure at the end of April they'll be lots going on in Chester, so I'll check online the week before to get some ideas.

Having another relaxing day today, my right hand is better but my left hand is still a bit sore. Most of the redness has gone apart from the tops of my fingers. Thanks to Jane suggesting Google yesterday, I found that potato peel is suppose to be good for Bleach burns, so I'm going to try that later and see what happens.

Cloudy her e too but it is not so cold. I love cotton sheets. Oh's side is always bobbly as he is a fidget? (sp). No spell check this morning!

I need to fill all my bird feeders up this morning as the little blighters have scoffed the lot. It is like feeding the five thousand at the moment.

Enjoyed Winterwatch and watched all the Unsprung last night on catch up.

As I did'nt clean the girls out yesterday as planned thats what I shall be doing this morning. Must also cook a few spuds for bubble and squeak with our big breakfast today as I saved a bit of cabbage.

Yes my hands are a lot better today. I hope you manage to get the sheets you need. You can't be doing with sheets that go bobbly after such a short time.

It does sound like you have quite a few Rats, hopefully if they keep taking the poison they'll all soon be gone :-D :-D

Forgot all about Winterwatch Mel, I was going to watch it with OH yesterday. I have Sky and a Freeview box and I'd recorded it on the Freeview then forgot all about it because we don't use it very often. I'll have to remember to watch it next time OH is off work.

I think I've still got Autumn watch on there as well, so will have to watch them both. That'll keep us both out of trouble for a while :-D :-D.

I do wish you would get yourself Wordpad and type on there and copy and paste it onto here. That way you would not lose a post.

Did'nt get the chickens done as oh came in quite early and I was still cooking their mash to keep them out of the way while I do it. Like you all said they other day, the min I go in there they think I have something for them to eat or peck away at my wellies. I am sure they think they are some big marrow and they have yellow writing on the side which attracts them.

Just having a well earned coffee. I have filled all the bird feeders up and given them bread in one of those square feeder things. The bread is buttered with fat out of the grill pan so that shoudl keep them nice and warm. Nothing gets wasted in this house. I even put the cream pots with a little in the bottom on the bird table. They love a bit of cream even if it is a bit off.

Oh Jane sounds as if you have quite a few rats if the bait is going so quickly ,hopefully hey will soon be gone it doesn't take long to kill them off .
Fingers crossed ours have gone ,we haven't seen any for a while now and i have hung the bird feeders out again ,it was the birds fat balls they we're feeding on .

I couldn't see any Egyptian Cotton Sheets :-S.So just got one with the highest thread count I could find.I also bought another Duvet Cover and Pillow Cases for our bed(even though I didn't really need one).Don't think Chris is too enamoured with it.Never mind...I like it :-D :-D
It was very busy everywhere .I nipped into Asd* and that was heaving.I was hobbling everywhere this morning as the joint on my big toe is an absolute killer .It kept waking me up in the night.

Gill I am glad your hands are less painful today.It will be interesting to see if potato peel helps.I wonder if it acts like a neutraliser .

Mandy I am hoping I don't see any dying rats.I hate that,even though I want shot of them.I am guessing it is a family we have.I am hoping that by Wednesday when we go away that there will be no more signs of them.

Mel your girls are so lucky to have scrummy food.I dread to think what the 2 poor birds next door get.They are stuffed into this tiny Ark which is just dragged along the lawn every few days for a fresh bit of grass.It looks like it is falling apart :-S :-S.I wish they just wouldn't keep any chickens AT ALL.Sometimes they are shut in their little end bit for a few days !!! I'll stop now as it winds me up :-| :-|

Maybe we are fidgets too Mel ,as the bobbly bits on the sheet are where our backs our sit it probably gets roughed up each time we turn over.It still shouldn't have gone like that though after such short time.

I gave up trying to get on here yesterday, looks like it has all settled down now as I got straight on today.

Yes Jane, touch typing means you don't look at the keyboard, I think it's something you have to learn before you've even looked at a keyboard before, once you get used to a way of typing it must be really difficult to do it differently and I have seen people typing with two fingers that go really fast. I quite often type words back to front Mel, especially the word the, it ends up teh, think my brain is working faster than my fingers.

A friend of mine's cat was attacked by a fox, it was in a dreadful state, and wasn't there a case of one that entered a house and was about to attack the baby. That's the first time I've seen one in the daytime for ages, I did have two cubs playing on the lawn at the bottom of the garden whilst their mother sat and watched them but that was a few years ago.

I've been doing all the rotten decorating jobs today, filling and sanding. Gloss is easier to clean Jane and it's tougher for the skirting boards if they get knocked but I'm just going to do them a soft sheen. The colour for the bedroom walls is called Mellow Mocha, son had a tin he never used otherwise I would have gone for a cream. Speaking of which I'd better get back up there, the sooner it's done the sooner I can get the house back to normal.

I hav'nt got any of my documents on this pc as oh has'nt done them for me yet so I have nobody's addresses or birthdays. So could you all please send them to me by pm and I shall have to write them in a book.

I like the sound of Mellow Mocha Maureen.Is it a well known paint .or one of these mix ones?I would like to see the colour as I am having to decide on a colour for under the dado for hall and stairs.
I noticed today how bad the paint work is on the wood under the roof at the front of the house.it is all peeling away now.We have 'booked' the decorator to do the outside.But he did say he might not be able to do it until next year !!!!!.It all depends on the weather this year as to how well he gets on with other outside paint jobs he already has booked.The earliest he said would be October !!!

Well after last nights disastrous meal I am going to do a bit of a 'blow out'...Well not blow out but hopefully something better.It is Steak,and something called Piperade.That is sliced red,green,orange peppers,sliced mushrooms,sliced tomatoes ,sliced onions,and some crushed garlic.You fry it up in a little oil then put it a baking dish .Crack a couple of eggs in and bake it in the oven.Then a few Chunky Chips to with it all :-D.
I have just done all the slicing ,the steaks are defrosting and the chips are in their foil dish ready to go in the oven .So I need do nothing else now until it is time to cook :-D
So it is me time now for a while.I might see what rubbish there is on TV
