Afternoon all, Looks like we're back to normal with the time now .
It's snowing :-D but i don't think it will lay as the ground was wet before it started to snow .
I nipped to T*sco's this morning just for a few bits, when i came home i emptied the bags and as i fold them up some thing dropped out and rolled behind the bin ,when i looked it was a button off my coat !! how lucky was that ,it could have come off in Tesc*'s and been gone for ever !! i don't know where the spare button went that came with the coat .
Well look who's back :-D it's our Shirl <3 <3 Hi Shirl, nice to have you back with us it's been quite a while .
It's a long time since we went to Southwold ,i think the last time was when son was little ,we would go for the day on the beach ,you could nearly park on the beach just behind some beach huts .
Hope you soon feel better Fiona , i suppose you were bound to get it after looking after the poorly ones , there are so many people with coughs and colds this way .
Oh big flakes of snow now :-D :-D

What is going on, I have been reading posts TWO PAGES back seems impossible to catch up.
I found your post Jane together with many more that I hadn't read.
OH WE HAVE" BUGGER LUGS" (my per name for our SHIRL.) GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK MY LOVE. I TRUST YOU ARE W"ELL.
Had some bad news this morning. My old friend RON BEDDOWS (yes JANE the eldest brother) passed away this morning aged 87. I went with him on the 1939/45 war vehicles to Normandy back in 1985/6 Not sure when the funeral is, but will be going of course.
How are the viewings going GILL.??? Half way through one now as I type.
Jane, that is the most horrible things to happen, I have been caught out like that a few times. Especially soon after my STROKE.
Tony wasn't abler to go out today for the football. So I stayed at home. I didn't want to go walkies in the rain and wind.!!! Ros wasn't back from shopping so couldn't take me.
Mel, I bet you wish you could put some "ADDLED" EGGS out for the TEA LEAF. That would give them a surprise :-( :-( :-( I am of the old school and would give them a few lashes with the birch (first offence) then I would remove a finger or two for the next. I bet a pound to a penny, that the crimes would reduce considerable with that sort of action. Why can't people leave things alone, that don't belong to them. I won't say what my name is for these scum.
Lets hope GENES get themselves sorted, so we know where we are.

Frank I am very sorry to hear that your old pal passed away today..That trip you did with him sounded great fun :-D..I expect his funeral will be at the Crem here....If it is possible and you fancy dropping in here afterwards please do .It would be great to see to see you again.
That sounds one heck of a hail storm Mel!!!!!!.Nothing like that here .It just keeps looking like it is going to snow again .The snow on the lawn has almost gone now.It just seemed to melt all of a sudden.
Mandy yes where you parked the car at Southwold is where I used the Loo :-D. Some of the huts look really tatty and yet others are really well looked after with painted pictures on.I dread to think how much one of those would cost !.The price of a small house I expect. We had a look in one of the Estate Agents windows to see what the price of property is in Southwold.....Crazy Prices !! :-0....I would not like to live there even though it is a lovely place..All the tourists from Easter onwards and then empty and bleak in the winter months. Most /Many of the cottages are empty and are holiday lets.
Just got the last load of washing in and the tumble drier is tumbling away.My pile of ironing is getting bigger and bigger :-S..I have decided I am NOT going to tackle that today :-D

NICE TO SEE YOU HERE AGAIN SHIRL!! :-D :-D <3 <3 I THOUGHT YOU HAD DEFECTED TO FB!! lol. IT WILL BE NICE TO SEE YOU GIVE AS GOOD AS YOU GET WITH FRANKIE BOY AGAIN!! lol.
I was just reading what happened to that poor disabled frail pensioner Alan Barnes that was mugged. Shocking that anyone could think of even doing such a thing, he's only 4 foot 6 as well. How wonderful though that so many have donated money for him.....it restores your faith in people.
That's sad you have lost your old pal Frank, but nice to have happy memories of him and that trip.
Mandy that was lucky your button hanging on till you got home, especially as the spare one has disappeared.
Mel that was quite a hailstorm you had. We've had nothing today, not even any rain.
OH's friend dropped his car off here this afternoon and went with OH. OH has known him for at least 30 years I think and he's in his 70s now. He's married and still travels abroad a lot to matches as well as all over this country.

The hail all melted away and we've had more showers of it since then. It seems every time I have to go out to do the chickens it decides it is going to hail.
Frank sorry to hear about your friend and all on the same date too with others. As Ann said you have those lovely memories of your times together.
I have had toothache all day today and yesterday it has all happened since my new teeth jarred on one of my bottom ones. If it's still like it in the week I shall have to see if I can get a sooner appointment and perhaps she'll take it out!!

O gosh this made me laugh on General Chat. It is a p[ost by Ladyscozz on Gossip.
and how to stop it........
%3A-D
Mildred, the church gossip and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business.
Several members did not approve of her extracurricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.
She made a mistake, however, when she accused Frank, a new member to the church, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old car parked in front of the town's only pub one afternoon.
She emphatically told Frank (and several others) that every one seeing it there would know what he was doing.
Frank, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away. He didn't explain, defend or deny.
He said nothing.
Later that evening, Frank quietly parked his car in front of Mildred's house, walked home, and left it there all night.

That Frank story made me smile Mel, I thought you were referring to me :-D :-D :-D <3 <3
Thanks for the offer Jane, I will have to see when it is, and check what time it is, and take it from there. It would be nice to see you and Chris again. It's been over a year !!!
That was some hail storm Mel, I had to re-read it. I thought you were referring to ordering a load of stone lol
Well our Shirl, will be keeping me in order now, not that I am a naughty boy anyway ;-) ;-) ;-)
We have been watching ITV three this afternoon, and I think we will stay with it. Load of rubbish elsewhere.
Indian Takeaway tonight. Very good it was too. Going to wash it down with a cold beer. CHEERS !!!

Well we just jumped out of our skins! There was a big bang in the hall and the smoke alarm in there went off straight after. :-0 Then it stopped again after a minute and the red light on it is showing as normal. :-S We think the bathroom door may have sprung off the catch as it doesn't hold shut very well in the winter with the moisture in there, but why would the smoke alarm go off as well?
You did well to make the choc brazils last till now Mandy..........they would have gone if they were here! We just have some peanuts in their shells left.

That must have really made you jump Ann, i don't know if any vibration would set a fire alarm off ? might be the sudden bang vibrated the battery and that set it off.

I'm glad you mentioned that Mandy. OH thought it was just a battery one as we changed a battery about 6 months ago. With what you say I'm now thinking it could be an electric one with a battery backup as it was put in the bungalow from new when we moved in. I'll get him to check the battery next!! Thanks again. :-)

Morning all,
Nasty morning here ,we've had hail and rain i could hear it on the front window when i woke up.
Hows the tooth ache today Mel ? that can be a miserable pain ,i hope you can soon get an appointment to get it sorted out .
Have you found out what the loud bang was Ann ,at least it was before you went to bed and not in the night that would have been scary .
I think we are sorting our bedroom out today ready for hubby to make a start on the decorating tomorrow ,there's not to much to move as the wardrobes are fitted so it's just the bed and the bedside cabinets and then all the covering up .
I cooked some stewing beef yesterday ready to make a stew for tonight so that will be nice and easy just got the veg to sort out later .
How did the viewing go Gill? hope you had lots interested and you soon get a sale .
Hope your feeling a little better Fiona ,keep in the warm and rest up.

Morning Mandy and all and evening Kim,
Still windy here and oh has gone ringing. Still got the toothache so I shall try to eat something and take some paracetamol which did the trick for a while yesterday. It hurts right down in my bottom jaw just to the side of my front teeth and it's hard to swallow.
