Do you mean you are having STEAK AND CHIPS JANE> never mind all the fancy stuff.
I am a little Brames and List. While watching the football I was on the beer, and swearing like a trouper. Ros came and told me off. ;-) ;-) ;-) At least we won and go through to the next round.
I still managed to produce a magnificent dinner of Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, Roast pots. Parsnips, Cauli, carrot and peas. Which we have just finished, Ros is clearing down. I did get most things in the dish washer.
I'm off for 40 winks.

Well I tried the potato peel Jane and so far it hasn't made any difference. To be fair as each hour passes it's feeling better, so that's good, then when I used the potato peel, where the skin has actually broke it started to hurt again, so I think I'll just leave it to heal itself and maybe try a bit of Savlon on the broken skin, to stop any infection. My hands feel ever so soft, but I wouldn't recommend bleach. A good moisturiser is better lol.
Good luck with your meal tonight Jane, I'm sure it will be a success. Sandra and I had Chicken for lunch with all the trimmings, it's Sandra's favourite.
I've just notice your email's Maureen, sorry I missed them went they were sent. I love the Christmas one, is that you in that picture and the one with all your grandchildren together, how nice. The girl at the back with the long dark hair looks like your picture on here.
I've just been on freecycle and noticed someone is giving away lots of decking boards in the village next to us. I've never contacted anyone on there before so now I'm waiting for a reply. We will have to dismantle it but it's free and not far to travel so we don't mind. OH and I love wood and if it's in good condition we can use it here.
Glad to hear your team are through to the next round. Let's hope they get through that one too. Sounds like Ros is on the mend now, has her cough gone completely now Frank.
I've started to look into things for Sandra for her birthday, it's not until April but I'd like to make a day of it and take her to Chester. She loves shopping and there's plenty there to choose from.
While I was looking online I came across a new shop called Central Perk (Yes it is the one off Friends) they have made a replica of the shows café and even have a big screen TV with episodes of Friends on it. I've seen the pictures and it really does look like the really thing.
An added bonus is it's right in front of the Grosvenor shopping centre, so once we've been in there, we can just cross the road to the shops. I'm still looking for other things to do, maybe see if there is a boat trip down the River Dee, sometimes they have music boats, Sandra like's music so I'm going to check that out too.
The problem is most of the good things don't really get going until the May bank holiday, so trying to find things to do isn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. It's early days yet so I've got plenty of time to find other things for her so I'll keep looking <3
Well, better get back to it and see what else I can find BBL

Frank you were a happy boy then with your team winning the footie and having a few bevvies :-D :-D.You will be feeling all mellow now....I can just imagine you with your can of beer and swearing like a wotsit at the tele.I bet Ros needed earplugs :-D
I am going to watch Call the Midwife and then Last Tango in Halifax(if i stay awake)
Steak and Chips plus the 'fancy stuff' was delicious.I am fit to burst :-S

Here I am, bright as a bushy tail !!!
Had my 40 winks, then as there was a load of rubbish on T.V. I went in the conservatory and found something to watch. Then turned over and watched Dragon's Den. My, I can't believe what they invest in. Nothing that would make me invest my millions (I WISH).
Jane I was in the conservatory with the door closed, I didn't know she could hear me. At times W.H. were like a load of old women. (just an expression) so I had to vent my feelings.
How was your STEAK AND CHIPS ;-) ;-) ;-)
See you all in the morning Night Night.

Morning all and evening Kim,
We had rain last night well before I went to bed but it's dry this morning. Some sunshine but it is cloudy too if that makes sense.
Have to go and feed the cat next door today and up until Candlemas.

Morning All, Evening Kim.
First of all here's wishing Liz a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, hope you got my card <3 <3
WHAT A WEEK!!! Been up & down to Victoria's house most of the time, Sofia had managed to get to school only once last week, as the whole family have been down with this rotten flu, Victoria ended up sleeping with Matteo at our house on Friday to get some rest as if it wasn't 1 child it was the other up & down for 4 nights , then Victoria went down with this flu and poor girl was exhausted, I hope Sofia got to school today, both kids seemed fine apart from this lingering cough which they still have will text her later to find out how everyone is.
the snow has gone and it's just wet, it's a bit milder too. time for coffee, I haven't read through the posts but I hope everyone is well.

Morning my lovelies, evening Kim.
Well I have been a good boy this morning. Last night I was cleaning the glass roasting dish and dropped it in the sink. I cleared it all up, then thought the OVEN looks like it needed a clean. So this morning I have cleaned the shelves and sides, I took the wire sides out and cleaned the inside, back and top. Put it all back together. It looks like a new oven.
Ros has a BIG basket of ironing to do which she has just started, so that will keep her quiet for a few hours. !!!! <3 <3 <3
Nothing special with the weather., bit of rain in the night but mild out. I have been to the bins in my shorts. and I haven't got a shirt on either.
Your poor daughter Fiona. She must feel worn out. The children certainly need a lot of attention when they are poorly.
We have a BIG "LOW LOADER" parked across the road, I think they are "PATCHING" the roads and paths. So I expect the BIG ROLLER will be up and down later No peace for the wicked.
Will be glad when we get the heating fixed t is so warm indoors

If anyone passing looked up to my window they would have had a good laugh, I must have looked a funny sight in my bath cap wheeling the roller on one of those poles painting the ceiling. Good job I put it on though cos when I took it off there was a big splodge of paint on it, that would have been in my hair. So I won't be on here for long as I shall get back to the painting soon, won't be able to do any tomorrow or Wednesday. The paint is a Du*ux off the shelf Jane.
That meal sounded really nice, bet it tasted good too, you can't go wrong with all those mediterranean veggies. We all know how you love boats and the water Jane, wasn't it Oxford you went, got in the boat, can't remember what they are called and ended up in the water!!
The girl in the picture Gill is my granddaughter, she's nearly 18, I was about that age in the photo on here, maybe a little bit older, where have all the years gone

But Maureen you are still a "young CHICK". You do so well will all the building and decorating you do. Good idea to wear a shower cap. that saved a hair wash ;-) ;-)
The new room stat arrived this morning. It looks like it will have to go back. It's not compatible with the unit on the boiler.. The one I bought was £40.00. the one I need now is £127.00 SO MORE EXPENSE.
We eat those Mediterranean veggies quite often, I sprinkle the powder over them and add olive oil. So quick and no washing dishes. I think I said before I roast them in a tin foil dish.
Wing is getting up and the clouds are forming. Don't know what's up there, but I think we will get some of it :-( :-( :-( It's getting dark early also.

Afternoon All,
Maureen that's what I do when I'm doing a ceiling. I used to get OH to bring back the cheap showercaps they give you at hotels when he stayed away......I still have a few!! lol. I also used the same old clothes with a few paint stains on where I rubbed my hands clean each time. lol.
I felt a bit peculiar again last night. I kept waking with a start as I was dropping off to sleep, then my heart rate went up a little fast and I got a kind of inner shakiness again. I got dressed, just in case, but half an hour later it was back to normal. It's most odd, and happened at night again. Just wish it didn't happen at all as I'm sure others with similar things do!!
I took my car in about the tyres going down this morning. No punctures, but the air is escaping through the rims as they have become rough. As they were quite badly worn and the tracking needed doing as well I ended up with 2 new ones and £200 lighter!!

Afternoon all
I've been busy again today, what with shopping then cleaning at mum's and I've just put the chicken casserole in the oven, so it' time to sit down and relax.
Sandra wants us to watch a film I recorded yesterday, so that should get us up to dinner time.
I was going to change some of our rooms round today, but will leave it now till Thursday when I have a free day and OH has a day off work. I'm planning on moving the dinning room furniture to Michelle's old bedroom and the bedroom furniture to the old dinning room. That's the fun of having a bungalow, it's so easy to change rooms around.
I've always wanted the dinning room at the back where the living room and kitchen are but Michelle said she couldn't sleep in the front because next door, who's 96 this year, has her daughter call round every morning at 6am so the car door would wake Michelle up, but now she no longer uses the room, I can finally swap them over. Well, that's the plan anyway ;-) ;-).
Yes I can see the likeness Maureen, between you and your granddaughter. Is she your daughter's or son's child. Sorry not sure who has what children yet, I'm still getting used to all the names everyone on here uses. To be honest I've never been very good at remembering names so it could take me a while. :-S :-S <3.
Oh Fiona, I hope everyone starts feeling better soon.
You've been busy Frank, you can clean my oven next if you like lol
Sandra's asking how long I'm going to be because she wants to watch this film, so I'd better go. BBL

Well good news at last. I was sitting playing cards on my KINDLE when I had a BRAIN WAVE. When the boiler packed up back in October I took out an insurance (I did mention it.) The policy was £295.00 and the heat exchanger on top. That was the cheapest way to get the repair. ANYWAY. I rang the policy people, and they tell me that the parts I need now, should be covered under the policy. So I am waiting for an engineer to call to make an appointment.
Gill we will have to call you the "MOVER" dragging all this furniture around. :-D :-D :-D
Beef, onions, with the potato's round the dish tonight with various veg. So not a lot of washing up.
Jan Skyped this morning. She has bought a EIGHT WEEK OLD King Charles Cocker Spaniel. She is naming it JJ. We have offered to have him anytime that she wants to go to Spain to see Conrad. She can drop him off here, then fly from either Luton, Birmingham or East Midlands. So looking forward to having him sometime soon I hope.

Pic in your bath hat please maureen :-D :-D ;-)..only kidding..Good job you had it on. I will have a look at the paint colour next time I am in B&*
Oh Gill, what energy you must have !!!!! I feel quite exhausted just thinking of all you do lol
Ann isn't it strange that this seems to happen at night.Good job it settled down and you didn't need to do the trip to A&E.Are you still making a note of when it happens? I hate spending out on tyres .They are so expensive..especially when you have to get more than the one.But it is one of those things you have to have to be safe.
Ooh Frank that will be good not to have to fork out any more money to get your heating sorted . Bet you can't wait to babysit JJ :-D :-D.Do you still have the other one (can't think of it's name) The sheltie?
Dinner is on the go now.I have a Chicken Crown with something called MemphisBBQ rub on it.(Sainsbu**).Then a tray of Charlotte Potatoes ,Baby Leeks,Baby Courgettes ,Baby Carrots .I have just fried up some sprouts in some little bits of bacon too. I'm trying to use up things before we go away.James won't be bothering to do veg etc when he gets in from work so he will be having a couple of meals just ready to pop in the oven.Chris will get them tomorrow when he goes to Waitr***It will be a Red Chicken Curry and Rice and a Chilli con Carne and Rice.So that will be him sorted :-D
It's getting pretty nippy now.I just stuck my nose out the back door Brrrrr! :-SJust as I did that a Duck quacking its head off flew right over our roof :-D
I hope Sophia was well enough for school today Fiona and that Victoria managed to get a good sleep at yours..No fun having both the children waking and needing attention in the night..This cold/flu thing just doesn't seem to be ending does it.

Did you know that it is only the female duck that quacks in flight. Just a bit of useless info for you.
Well I have been up the shop after putting some eggs on the table and feeding next doors cat. That was this afternoon after lunch as my friend Di came late morning for a coffee and a natter. She was plased with all the pressies I bought her for Chirstmas and the hedgehog door stop she bought me was on my desk where oh put it when he knew Di was coming. It is now sitting back on the floor.
Ann do you find eating chocolate at night before bed makes your heart race. It seems to with me so I have stopped eating it. You don't think you have low blood pressure so you? Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight with no interuptions of funny feelings.
Gill you are energetic but there again so was I at your age. Hope you lik e the new layout of your rooms when you use them.

Well dinner tonight went down a treat :-D It was really tasty.I think I might get a couple more of those Chicken Crowns with that topping on and put in the freezer. One just barely feeds 3.
Eastenders and Silent Witness for me tonight :-D

The worst thing about painting ceilings with a roller is if you wear glasses! All the white spots on your lenses like snow. :-S
Yes I did remember to make a few notes in a little pad I've got just for that Jane. I'm glad you mentioned it though as I might easily have forgotten. :-) I hope the weather stays fine for you while you are away.....some talk of snow according to OH, but maybe not down south. At least you will have a good idea what to pack. It's when the weather is hot one minute and cold the next that it's hard to decide. Thanks for replying to AnninG. I will have to send her some pics, I'm slacking!
That was good you remembered the insurance Frank and will save you a bob or two. It's good Ros is feeling so much better as well. Another little doggie pal for you soon then.........hope Ted doesn't mind if he visits at the same time. :-)
Sandra will love a trip to Chester Gill, plenty of shops as you say and maybe a boat ride too. I love boat rides as well, although there's a photo of me as a toddler on my first trip on a boat crying my eyes out. I didn't like it wobbling!! lol. You certainly keep yourself busy. As you say, there's quite a bit of flexibility with the rooms in a bungalow and swapping them around. Ideally I would like a bedroom on the back with patio or french doors to the garden, but we'd have to move the kitchen to do that which would be very expensive to do. That was a nasty experience with the bleach, but hopefully your hands are improving now.
I texted my beading friend with the broken ankle while I waited for my tyres to be done and she is still in hospital after about a fortnight!!! She's hoping to go home tomorrow though, they have to get a care package sorted as her hubby has health problems and isn't very mobile either.
Mandy, I'm in good company........OH read yesterday that Shaun The Sheep is a worldwide phenomenon except in this country!! lol. The movie is coming to our cinema in the next fortnight, so guess who'll be going to see it!! :-D ;-) You should take the little ones! ;-) Apparently the farmer gets a Llama.
It's good you never caught the bug Fiona. Hopefully everyone is slowly recovering now.
Off to watch Mr Selfridge we recorded now.....Frank's FAVOURITE!

But I fell into the bottom of the Punt (Not the water) thank heavens :-D.I felt such a twit and hurt my thumb so badly I thought i had broken it.I just put a brave face on while we had the trip on the river even though the pain was dreadful. But it was just a bad sprain.Have to say though it shook me up quite badly for the rest of the day. I was just praying that no-one got a video clip of me going headfirst into the punt and sticking it on Youtube LOL
