Gill I may well have sent it to your old address as I forgot you changed it. Senior moment or what?

I will do it again.

Its still raining here after a lovely sunny day yesterday. Its that horrid fine stuff and theres a bit of a wind so its blowing like curtains.

Liz I kept getting the dreaded Erro page but now I go through GR New Zealand and its much better.

https://www.genesreunited.co.nz

Mice Frank!! I had a wendy house when I was young that dad built me out of fish boxes from Frank Martins fish shop. I kept my mice in there and had loads of them all different colours, sandy and white, black and white, beige and white as well as the normal colours. I even breed white mice with black eyes. I kept them for years till I got interested in the opposit sex and had my pony.

You're right Mel, it's much easier! Thanks for that info!

Frank Report 6 Sep 2018 14:11

I must make a note of that Mel, I'm getting on here O.K. at the moment.

Forgot to mention yesterday, my weight is stable at 12 stone 6 lbs, and my BP was 126/70. So all is good.

Just heard Roses car pull in the drive, so will push off and get back later.

Hair all coloured and conditioned now, just watching garden rescue then I'll dry my hair.

You're not on your own today Liz, I got the error page, I even got it when I tried Mel's link for New Zealand Genes, so it must be them again. Maybe there's a lot of people on the site which is slowing it down now the children are back at school....who knows why it's happening. I suppose we just need to keep trying until we manage to get on here.

Thanks Mel for saying you'll send the email again, don't worry I thought you might of used my old email by mistake. I look forward to receiving it <3
I've never known anyone breed mice before that must of been interesting, I bet you had loads in the end.

Pleased to see your weight and BP are good Frank, at least there's no worry there for you.

It sounds like your OH is getting on well with his treatment Liz, nice to hear the staff are kind and caring, the last thing he needs is a grumpy person with what he's having to go through. Not long now until it's all over and you can both enjoy your holiday. What a nice thought to buy a thank you gift for the staff, that's the type of thing I'd do to. :-)

Back from Holsworthy and ordered the F & C for 5.15pm and went down again to pick them up. It was lovely once again and oh got his haddock today because when I came back I went through the village to see if they were there yet but they were'nt but as I drove around the corner the van was coming into the village so I turned around and went and ordered it as they were getting the van ready. They put a generater round the front of the van so I asked then.

In Holsworthy I went to the shop called Moon Hare and took the brooch I made of their logo. The first lady I met at the shop was'nt there but her partner in business was. I had a look around the shopwhile she was serving another lady and then I showed her the brooch. I think it took her breath away at first and then I asked if she would be interested in it and she said yes. I also asked her what she would be willing to pay, her answer was £12 so I said I was thinking of less than that how about £10 and she agreed. She said it was a shame it was'nt two days earlier as it was her partners birthday and it would have made a lovely gift. After hse paid me she then said she would make up her mind whether to keep it for herself or give it to her friend in two days when she was back in the shop. I shan't find out who had it in the end until I go back in next time.

She said she would take my things and for me to put my price on them plus 40% which is their bit on your items. I thought that was a bit high really but we will see.

Morning you lot out there wherever you may be,

We have sunshine at the moment this morning and blue sky with huge white clouds.

I may make another toadstool brooch today if I have time.

I have a pile of ironing to do yet again. I wonder where it all comes from sometimes but I suppose if I wash it I have to iron it!! If I am in the mood I can iron all day. Trouble is nothing else gets done. :-|

Bunnyboo

Bunnyboo Report 7 Sep 2018 12:28

Lovely day here but windy so the washing should dry well. I think ironing is a matter of choice and up to the individual and no 'have to' about it!! It's one job I personally always disliked so I don't do it now except occasionally, and it's simply not an issue anymore!! If you enjoy doing it then that's fine!! If you don't, then don't, easy as that!! ;-)
M's been on the phone, so best get on now!!

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 Sep 2018 12:54

Well Liz we have had this conversation before and I personally like to put on a piece of clothing that has been ironed and also if I don't iron things I can't get it all in the chests of draws. I know you don't iron but I wear only cotton things so they look so much better being ironed.

Just cleaned out the chickens food bin so the new pellets can go in. As its a nice breezey warm day it should dry quickly.

Having a COC and a sit down before I do lunch.

Bunnyboo Report 7 Sep 2018 13:14

Hang on Mel with respect you brought it up again not me!!! As I said it's personal choice and quite frankly not worth discussing. You do one thing, I do another, it doesn't matter either way!

Evening all

The day started off raining and very windy, then it went really nice, now it's gone very dark like there is rain on it's way again.

I've been busy in the garden again, I went to Morrison's to buy some plant pots and ended up buying more plants, they were selling them off at £1 each and they have red berries on them right up to Christmas, I also found some other's very similar with white berries, but they had to be planted in ericaceous soil, so off we went in search for some. We finally found it at a little garden centre not far from us, as no one else had any, well I tried my best not to look at the plants, but gave in and ended up buying 14 Ivy's which are now edging the new border we made in the back garden, I wanted some anyway so no money wasted and they were only £2 each which seems to be the price everywhere. Last year I got some for £1 each but they were a lot smaller so I didn't mind paying more this year, not that I had a choice as like I said everyone is selling them at the same price. So once we got home I spent over 3 hours potting them all into larger pots and placing them around the back garden. OH has just watered both front and back gardens. I also re-potted one of OH's plants as we had some ericaceous compost left over and it badly needed doing.

We were going to make a start on the planter we want to make for the back garden but I said to OH I don't fancy cutting wood in all this wind, he agreed as it would of gone everywhere which is why we ended up going out instead.

So that's my news for today. My back is still hurting, I don't suppose it helped when I moved a couple of large plants before going out. I decided to put the climbing bluebell outside as it was taking over the greenhouse, plus I thought if it showed signs off stress then I could put it back in the greenhouse, if it doesn't then we'll put one of the ones we bought the other day in the new planter. I have two of them in the greenhouse at the moment as I know they'll be safe there. Hopefully nothing bad will happen to the plant I've put outside and then I'll know the others will be okay outside too.

I still haven't planted the rest of the bulbs yet, that's what the new pots were for, but I have until December so I'm going to rest my back for a few days, all this lifting and carrying really isn't helping, so hopefully resting it will help.

Well, I'd better go and dish up dinner then settle down for the night, I'm so tired I think it'll be another early night for me tonight.

Evening all. I have been a very poorly boy today. Got up with tummy ache, which had me in and out of the loo all morning. Didn't get showered until after 1.00 pm. Just sat all day feeling very tired and generally down in the dumps. Won't be long before I am back in bed.

Hope to be back on tomorrow.

Evening all,

It's been quite a nice day until about four o'clock then down came the rain ,we had been outside doing some jobs so that put paid to that .

I'm like you Mel i like to iron my things ,nothing better than getting into a bed with the sheets all ironed nice and smooth ,some things can be just folded up and put away but i do hate seeing things all creased .

You've been busy Gill getting all those Ivy's planted up, the plants with the berries sound nice and will give some nice colour in the garden right up to Christmas , hope your back soon eases ,you've done a lot of bending over lately doing the new planters .

Oh dear Frank was it some thing you've eaten do you think or maybe just a bug ,you might have picked some thing up when you went to see the nurse , it's not long before you go away now is it ?
How is Ros today ? was it another water infection ?

The children all settled nicely back into school ,they all looked smart in their uniforms .

When is Jane back ? is it over the weekend ?

Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather with your tummy today Frank, have you tried taking some Imodium I find it's very good. I hope you feel better soon and manage a good nights sleep.

So the children have gone back to school now Mandy? I bet they'll miss the time they spent with you over the summer. It sounds like you've been as busy as us outside today. Yes, I agree with you and think all the bending and twisting has probably irritated my back. A few days rest should help.
I can't remember when Jane said she was back, but I don't think she was away for long.

O dear Frank I do hope you feel better in the morning. Its not nice when you have to keep going to the loo like that. Drink plenty of boiled water and have a good night rest tonight.

We had shepp sh*t pie for dinner followed by the rest of the crumble and ice cream.

I am just watching Back in time to the factory.

Mandy you will be glad to have your days to yourselves again for a while until half term. You will get more done now and Max won't be so tired either.

Morning all

Raining here today, so I'm going to catch up with all the recordings on Sky as I have to keep deleting things to record programmes for Sandra.

Hope you are feeling better today Frank and you had a good nights sleep.

What channel is Back in Time on Mel, OH and I watched a few of those programmes and wouldn't mind watching the factory one. Did you watch it on Catch up? What day and time is it on, do you know?

Going to get a cuppa now then watch a bit of TV. My back is still sore so I'm going to rest up for a while and hope it eases a bit.

Thank you Mel, I'll pop it on my planner. I've just had a look and it's on 8pm on Thursday. It's 1973 next week.

Strictly starts tonight on BBC1 at 7.35pm till 9pm if anyone is interested. I'll be watching it with Sandra, we both love that programme. My favourite is Anton Du Beke he is so funny. :-)

Frank Report 8 Sep 2018 11:31

Good morning Mel/Gill and all,

Hissing with rain here and cold with it. the heating came on this morning, so it must have been cold.

Nothing changes here. I was in bed early last night. Got up for the loo around 1.00 am went to open the bedroom door and fell A over Head. Banged my back on the side of the bed, between Ros and I, we managed to get me onto the bed. To say I was shocked was an under statement. I left Ros to go back to sleep and I sat in the lounge with a COT and my book until 3.30. Could not get off to sleep till well after 4.30. and was awake and up again by 7.00 am. So you can imagine I am not feeling on top of the world. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Martine and Brian are at the coast in their caravan this weekend, so no shopping with her for Ros. She is going on her own to get what we need. She is also going to buy me some new trousers, as all my others are too big for me, and are falling over my hips. She will ask Margaret, who is a professional seamstress , if she can alter some of my trousers, as I would hate to throw them out. Roa has just measured me, and I am still a 38 inch waste. BUT she will bring me a 36 inch and see how they fit.

Simon rang last night to say they are home. He had spent two days of 13 hours behind the tiller, so they would be home for yesterday. He accepts they went to far from home to be able to get back comfortably.

They are going to my Nephews golden weeding anniversary party, tonight in Harlow. He asked if I had changed my mind about going, NO CHANCE !!!! I would hate o have a BARNY and spoil it for everyone. So better to stay away.

Full of aches and pains this morning, partly from the fall, but most from his BL@@DY Arthritis in my shoulder and hip,

Good job we have the rain, as I wouldn't be able to cut the lawns feeling like I do. I will ring Barry, and he can do them next Wednesday, weather permitting.

Hope the weather is better for you than it is here. See you soon.xxx
