Yes we're nearly at D.day Mandy! It's now Wednesday as one day had to be cancelled because one of the machines broke down!! I've got physiotherapy in the morning at Malmesbury hospital, then we're both going for the final radiotherapy session in the afternoon and ringing the bell!! We've got a big box of assorted biscuits as a thank you to the staff as they've been so brilliant and its just a small way to show our appreciation. It's a relief to have it all behind us, and will seem quite strange going back to normal!!
We're in bed watching a very interesting programme about Australian art from 6.000 years ago. Fascinating stuff!!
M and his partner have a new baby grandson, born last Friday! That's three boys now, two for one daughter in New Zealand, and the latest for the eldest daughter who lives in Shrewsbury!
Just noticed you're back Jane. So glad you had a lovely time. All those clothes to wash!!!! One of the downsides of a holiday!!

Glad your home safe and sound Jane and that you had a smahing time. We shall be wanting pics you know. Now your home we will be losing our Frank next. The post are a bit thin on the ground.

Hope Thomas has been ok on his holiday and I know he will be glad to get home to his bunny hunting.

They have just started filming the fifth series of Poldark and this will be the last one.......boo hoo.

Well I spent the whole afternoon trying to sew two words on this Moon Hare, ( yes those two words) on this second brooch. I hav'nt done a whole letter without undoing it many times. I have the HARE done and started on the Moon and did the two O's first and then tried to do the N but it was'nt right so the lot came out. I have now done the M and have three more letters to do. I want to get it done by Wednesday when I have to go to Holsworthy for the scripts and can take it in the shop for the other girl.

Jane's washing machine will be doing overtime tomorrow. Hope the weather is good for her to be able to pop it on the line.

I have been walking better today and not rocking as oh puts it.

Going in the shower now so see you all in the morning.

Morning all,

Really rain ing here this morning so I am going to have a wet shopping day.

Having said my hip was better yesterday today its letting me know its there. It may be that I was sitting around a lot yesterday and not moving around.

I want to go and get some more brooch pins up the High St today and also try to do Lidl as there are a few bits I need from there. I shall try and leave a bit earlier I think so shan't be around much today.

Good Ian's treatment is now at an end Liz and please give him my love and wishes. The nurses will love the tin of biscuits I am sure and make that bell ring really loud.

Frank

Frank Report 11 Sep 2018 11:03

Good morning Mel and all, Welcome home Jane.

Another disaster with my evening meal, Ros bought home some kidneys, which I cooked and added to the shin of beef. She made a S & K pie, which looked great. I did a nice creamy mash, carrots, peas, sweetheart cabbage, and a bit of Cauli. Once again I dished up two lovely platefull's, giving Ros more than me. I ate about a quarter of mine, while Ros cleared her plate.

I was in bed before 10.30 and still wide awake at 12.45, So got up made a COT and sat and read until 3.30 am. Was awake again by 7,30 and up by 8.00 am. I am walking around like a ZOMBIE this morning.
.Glad to see you back Jane and please to had a nice time, also J & J enjoyed their trip.

Liz, You and Ian must be over the moon, knowing this is the LAST TREATMENT DAY. I expect to hear that bell ringing in my garden this afternoon, ;-) ;-) ;-) I would hope you are going to celebrate with a meal out tonight. xxxx

I had a word with "RINGO" a neighbour who dose all sorts of garden work. I asked for a price to take down the BIG PINE TREE. in he front garden . He called over last night. He knows a chap who will cut it down and clear everything for £120.00 CASH. I was expecting over £200.00. So told him to get it done while we are away. I will take the cash over to him today, with a drink on top for him. He will oversee the work for me.

Not sure whether I want to go back to bed or get my shower. The latter is the right move.

Roa bought a new bag yesterday from TK MAX. When she left to store th alarm sounded .Nobody came to her so she just got in the car and came home. She then found a security TAG. I have tried to remove it with a pair of cutters. NO JOY. so she will have to take it back to have it removed. HOW LAPSED IS THAT ???? Shoplifters paradise I would imagine, lol lol.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 11 Sep 2018 12:18

Why on earth did she go to the car and not back to the checkout. They would have taken it off there and then as they knew she had paid for it with her receipt. It would have saved her a trip.

I am off in a min so see you all later.

I bet the washing machine at Jane's is going 19 to the dozen.

Bunnyboo Report 11 Sep 2018 12:37

Thanks Frank and Mel. Actually last day is tomorrow!! We lost a day owing to the machine breaking down, so we've had an extra day tagged on! Nevertheless we are on the count down which is really good.
Nothing particular to report from here!!!

Frank Report 11 Sep 2018 15:33

Horrible afternoon here, raining and chilly,

Jo, Jan's daughter rang this morning to thank us for her B'Day present. A big silver bowl, which she has fill with pot puree (sp) She said it smells wonderful. Both dogs are fine and Ella is being the perfect daughter, at the moment. :-0 :-0 :-0 She seems to be growing up and only 11 years old.

That's why I never heard the BE:LL Liz, I'm a day to early. ;-) ;-) ;-) I'll listen again tomorrow. lol lol.

Ros had to take some trousers back to TK Max, so it was not out of her way, and not a wasted journey. I have heard that the staff at TK Max are told to ignore the alarm, and under no circumstances are tthey to pursue a suspected shop lifter. That seems a funny sort of security. !!!!

How many machine loads of washing have you managed to get done Jane, ?? I bet his weather isn't helping. :-( :-( :-(

Ros has eye test at 4.00 pm in Towcester. I have just woke her up, as she was dozing on the sofa

Tele can go off again now, and I can read the paper and my book, in peace and quiet. She has to have the .T.V on when she is at home.

Jane

Jane Report 11 Sep 2018 18:19

Afternoon Everyone
The washing machine is having a rest now until tomorrow .I have done 3 loads so far but as nothing can dry outside I have used the dryer and have a ton of socks drying on the airer. James is most fussy about not having socks dried in the dryer as he says they shrink.

I see Frank you had a nasty fall. How are the bruises today. It sounded like you came a real cropper. Hopefully you will be feeling fitter by the time you go away in a few days.

One more session the Liz for Ian.It seems as though the weeks have gone quickly. But maybe it hasn't felt like it for you. Ding Dong tomorrow :-D :-D. When is it you go to Austria?I think you said this month.

I am afraid I have not gone back through almost 2 weeks of posts . It would take me for ever.

I will be sending some pics .I have taken so many though it will take me a while to pics just a few for you. Annecy was just beautiful and the lake stunning with mountains. We did a 2 hour boat trip around the lake and I would have been quite happy to have done another 2 hours just taking in the scenery. The old town where we stayed is very touristy but as it is coming ot the end of the summer season it was not too crowded although busy enough. We had a room with a nice view although the room it self was not that much to write home about.
Paris was as lovely as ever. We didn't do much there other than potter about and going on the open hop on hop off bus. Our room at the Hotel there the first 3 nights away was fine but the bathroom !!!!!. well it was kind of designed for disabled.Very odd as when sitting on the loo our feet were actually in the flat shower tray :-S :-S
I meantioned that I wasn't too impressed and asked for a different room when we went back for our last 2 nights. We got a new room and the bathroom was like a ball room .It was huge. Big bath in the centre , 2 sinks ,big walk in shower with a rain shower and another shower on the side that you could take off and use separately , plus the loo. It was brilliant :-D. Extra big bed too .

All in all we had a great holiday . One very sad thing we witnessed though was some poor man who must have had a heart attack and he was being given CPR by the ambulance ,police .We were having lunch at a pavement cafe and could see the CPR was going for a good 30 minutes and they were still trying when we left. So it didn't really look too hopeful for the man who looked to be early middle age :-( :-(. They did have sheets held up around him for privacy but we could still see the frantic attempts to revive him. It was just a sad thing to see.
On a lighter note :-) We walked passed a Subway(sandwich shop) and saw 4 armed soldiers with their sub machine guns all lined up in there waiting for their orders :-D :-D I can't imagine seeing that here :-D

We are having a Chinese home delivery tonight as I just can't face cooking.I feel exhausted after a long day off travelling yesterday and today getting Thomas ,doing a big food shop , washing etc.Plus my hip and back have been really bad today .I have physio in the morning for my Achilles Tendon. Then on Thursday Fitz is coming for lunch and to see our pics and hear about our holiday.
My Sister had her knee replacement op . Stil in a fair bit of pain but has a review on Thursday with the Surgeon.

I am being called to choose what to order for the Chinese .

Another whacked out person here. I did the Poundshop, then Lidl and then down to the High St for some craft bits and then Morrisons for the rest of the shopping. Took ages to unload it all and put it away.

I have a mac cheese for tonight and oh has his usual curry so nice and easy in the microwave.

I wanted some more of the brooch backs but the two shops I go in had only got different kinds. I bought a pack of three small ones in the wool shop and another pack in the material shop up the road a bit further. Came home and looked on Amazon and bought 100 on there for the price I paid for the two packs in Bideford. I shall be taking some to the shops as I can't see me getting through 100. I am silly because I thought of looking on Amazon and forgot!! :-|

So you're a good way through the washing then Jane. Was Thomas pleased to see you when you picked him up? <3

Hi all, Just to let you know Ros is at the Doctors. She has just rung to say she has to stay there as they think she has ANGINA. I have had to cancel her nail and foot appointments, and there is the possibility that we might have to CANCEL our Holiday. I can only sit here until I know what's happening.

Will keep you informed

Frank

Frank Report 12 Sep 2018 14:27

Not good news. Ros has Angina and the doctor has said she must not fly, so that's that. Ros has suggested we ignore her advise and still go. NO WAY. I said. what if you have a heart attack or a stroke on the plane. So we have the cases to unpack, and put everything back in the wardrobes and draws.

I rang the Travel Insurance people. It would cost the excess of £150.00 to claim for the tickets, considering the tickets and priority boarding etc. Cost were £177.00 it's not worth claiming.

The doctor is arranging tests at the hospital, and someone will contact her by phone. Depending on what the doctor advises, regarding driving, I will get the neighbours to take her to any appointments, if she won't let her drive.

Nice photo's Jane, it certainly looked a nice area. Have you been there before. ??

To say the least, I feel totally, physically, and mentally worn out, hearing this news. I have informed all the family, who are in total shock, by the news. I certainly won't forget this date in a hurry. :-| :-| :-| :-|

O Frank I have just read your posts. I am so sorry to hear this about Ros and please give her my regards and tell her not to worry as they can do so much for Angina patients now. Oh has it and he has a spray he uses. He does still drive too. <3 <3 <3

Jane Report 12 Sep 2018 14:56

Oh Frank!!! I am really sorry to hear the news about Ros.I expect the Dr has said NOT to fly until she has had all the tests done and they can see whats what. It is a real pity that you are going to miss the holiday although I think you said the other day that it is a lot of hassle and you would rather stay at home. I am sure Ros will be fine and I know you will make her do just as she is told :-D. A bit of rest and relaxation this afternoon will probably be the best thing for both of you. <3

No Frank, we haven't been to that part of France before ,and I am really glad we did this time :-D

Busy day here so will be back again later.

Afternoon all

Sorry to hear about Ros Frank, I hope all goes well at the doctors for her. My mum suffers from Angina and has a spray she uses which is very good, maybe the doctor will give her one.

Welcome home Jane, now for all the washing. We have sun here would you like me to peg some out for you? ;-) Hope Thomas didn't miss you to much.

I haven't caught up with all the post yet. I had some bad new yesterday. My aunty passed away so as you can imagine we're all at sixes and sevens today.

I'll PM you my new email address Jane. I haven't checked my emails today so if someone has sent Jane's email to me, thank you.

Frank

Frank Report 12 Sep 2018 16:11

Sorry to hear your news Gill. I hope everything gets sorted out without to much trouble.

Conrad is quite upset that we have had to cancel the holiday. He said Jan has Ros's Birthday present and card in her case to take to Spain. Plus he had booked a table for her birthday.

Jan has just rung to say, she will come and collect us when Ros gets her tests completed, and take us to Devon for a few days.

Simon and Sally are coming over tomorrow morning at 10.00 am to see us. He no doubt wants to pick up his JUMPER as well. lol lol. Roa has also bought him a BOBBLE HAT that is fur lined.

I have just sent an Email to the travel insurance company, to cancel the policy, and see if I can get a refund as we won't be using it. SOME CHANCE, but who knows. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Suns out here and a nice afternoon. Hope you are all well. xxx

Oh dear Frank, I am sorry to hear your news, but as others have said, once the medics have ascertained what's what they will then be able to recommend appropriate treatment and prescribe accordingly. Try not to worry too much <3
We've just arrived home having rung the bell!! OH has an appointment with the urologist on Monday just for a chat!! Next appointment is in six weeks with the Oncologist, with a blood test and an appointment on Dec3rd!! to see how well the treatment has worked! I've had physio this morning which went really well. He's such a nice chap and very pleased by my progress. I have an open appointment at the end of October which means I can make an appointment then, or not depending how I feel. So I feel really chuffed!

Jane

Jane Report 12 Sep 2018 17:39

Gill I have sent the pics now :-D I am very sorry to hear about your Aunty . Was she your Mums Sister? Another sad time for the family :-(

So the Bell has been rung Liz.I bet you both came out with big smiles on your faces :-D :-D.Fingers crossed now that the treatment has done the business and it can all be behind you now. The timing was just right for the final session and now you have you time away to look forward to. Glad your Physio went well. Mine did too this morning :-D. She was pleased with how my Achilles Tendon is doing. Next appointment in 3 weeks.

Frank, would you not get all your money back with a letter from the Dr saying he has said Ros is not to fly? I am sure that the family are all concerened and really disappointed that you have had to cancel the holiday. Maybe a few days down in Devon would be nice. So Ros finished Simons Jumper :-D and Bobble Hat too :-D :-D. I didn't know she was doing the hat too.

How is the hip Mel. Rocking is the expression I use too for me. I have just realised I have my appointment next week with the Rheumatologist. That seems to have come around quickly.

I think I have picked the last of the runner beans today. It is a shame that we werent here for 2 weeks to pick as now they have gone all hard and tough. I have just enough for tonight .The little Green Beans too have gone over. So that is it this year for all my favourite Beans and Peas.
My new Freezer arrives on Friday morning :-D :-D :-D Hooray!!!!!!! I shall be off on Saturday to start stocking up again.
