Sorry to hear you've had another fall Frank and then didn't have much sleep, maybe you could have a lie down today and rest up a bit, you need to catch up on your sleep and while you sleep your body will relax and hopefully help your aches and pains. Hope the weather is nice on Wednesday for Barry to cut your lawns. Ours will probably need doing again soon with the sunshine and rain we've had these past few days. I don't blame you for having someone sort out your trousers, it would be a shame to have to get rid of them and like you said you don't want to do that.

13 hours for two days is a long time, I bet Simon is glad to be home now. He'll need to keep an eye on the distance next time. Apart from the rush home did they have a nice time away?

Still raining, so I think it's going to be here for the whole day.

Poor Frank........................You could have done without that mishap on top of everything else. I hope you feel better soon. I missed your post as it was on the other page but when I saw what Gill saidI had to go back and read what had happened.

We,ve had lunch and I am just going to wash up and then have a fiddle with my felt. I have drawn another different shape toadstool so I may have a go at that.

How are you feeling now Frank, better I hope? <3 Did you manage to have some sleep?

How are you getting on with your different shape toadstool Mel, I'd love to see a picture of it when it's finished,

Just watching the Extra Slice for the Bake off, I missed the first one but have now put the rest of them on my planner to record. I do find Jo Brand funny.

Morning all

The sun is out so OH is going to make a start on the trellis to go behind the planter he wants to make. It's a bit breezy so I hope there isn't to much sawdust blowing around.

How is everyone feeling this morning? I hope you all had a good nights sleep.

It sounded like someone in the next street was having a party last night and the music was really loud, we could still hear it at 1am, needless to say none of us went to bed until after that. It gave us a chance to catch up with a few programmes off the planner so we have more space now.

Sandra's informed me that the normal Big Brother starts on Friday so she's looking forward to that. She does like her TV......bless her. It comes in handy sometimes though as she reminds me when programmes are starting that I like to watch like Poldark etc..., these are programmes she doesn't like but it's nice that she thinks of me. She also thinks of all of you as well as she's always asking me if people on the thread like certain programmes and if I say yet she makes sure I tell you all. She can be very thoughtful can't she?

Nothing much planned for today, I thought I might take a look at my family tree if I can get onto my tree, it wouldn't load yesterday. Genes has gone weird lately and is very slow. I keep getting the error page too. Is anyone else getting the error page?

Morning Gill and all.

Sunshine and then clouds here this morning and quite a breeze too.

I don't feel 100% today. I have a tummyache and still feel half asleep and a bit dizzy with it.

I did'nt do the toadstool yet as I had a go at the other Moon Hare brooch but it just would'nt go right. I must have undone the stitching about 10 times so I am giving that a rest for today. It is sewing black on black in some parts and very eye straining. I also can't find my box with the patterns in it. I must have put it somewhere safe!!!

I have been enjoying The Repair Shop programes on the telly and am watching them on catch up.

Yes its good Sandra keeps her eye on the programs coming up for all of us.She's a good girl in that respect.

How's our Frank today? Not too bad after yesterday fall I hope. Did you sleep ok?

Gillx Report 9 Sep 2018 11:55

Sorry to hear you're not feeling very well today Mel, it sounds like a bug that's doing the rounds, I had something like it the other week. Maybe you should rest today. Hope you find your patterns soon, that's the thing with putting stuff in a safe place, it's so safe even you can't find it LOL :-D ;-) Don't worry it happens to us all and I'm sure they'll turn up in the end, probably when you don't need them anymore which is normally the case isn't it?

Yes, Sandra always keeps an eye on things for you all and of course for me too. She's very caring towards people. I'm so lucky to have a daughter like her. <3

Had our big breakfast and I have cleared up and now I am going to start cutting out a toadstool. I only have two brooch clips left so I shall have to save one for the Moon Hare and just the other one for a toadstool till I can get to Bideford on Tuesday to buy some more.

Frank Report 10 Sep 2018 10:19

Good morning to you all,

Sorry I didn't show yesterday, wasn't feeling that good.Bruised arm and back, turning a nice colour now. :-D :-D :-D

Haven't read the posts, I heard from Simon yesterday. he had a good evening with all the family, who sent me their regards. He called I'm to see my sister, who he said is looking OLD and FRAIL she will be 85 next March.

Still not feeling on top of the world, so taking things easy. We are both saying we could do without going away next Sunday, it is such a lot of hassle getting everything packed, and then all the travelling. I don't think we will be doing it for much longer.

I trust you are all well. xxx

Morning Frank and all,

We have sunshine this morning but clouds too if you know what I mean. Sometimes the suns out and sometimes its not but at least its not raining .

Frank I thought thats why you were'nt on here yesterday after that nasty fall. I bet you have some lovely colours on your bruises. Sending love and hope the pain goes soon. <3

Well this is the first morning I have got out of bed without any pain in my hips or legs.

I lost the number to ring for our repeat prescriptions and had to look it up online after ringing Anne at the shop to see if she had it. She did'nt!!!! anyway I found it and now I have ordered them and have to ring the chemists in Holsworthy to say I only want a certain make of tablets as the ones I had last time were different makes to the ones we usually have and were all different shapes and colours which I found very confusing as I do up our tabs for the week. The only thing that was the same was the asprin and oh's BIG pill. He has 7 a day and I have 5. I tried to order ibruprofen and paracetamol and the girl told me they were about 30p in Lidl !!

I must get on now but will be back later.

I finished the brooch yesterday but messed it up a bit as it was a different pattern I could'nt get the gills right.

Morning all

A bit overcast here after a sunny start to the day, I hope it doesn't rain as we have a few outside jobs to do today. Luckily resting my back for a couple of days has helped and it's not so sore today. The jobs I need to do are fairly small so hopefully my back will hold out.

Sorry to hear you're all battered and bruised Frank. Hope you are feeling better soon. I bet you really enjoy your holiday with you not being keen on going, they are normally the best ones. At least you'll have the nice weather while we're here with the rain and wind, you lucky man LOL.

Pleased to hear your hip is feeling better Mel. don't over do things though or you might trigger it off again. Hope you sort out your meds and get the ones you want and your brooch can be sorted.

OH is waiting for me, so I'd better make a move.

Frank Report 10 Sep 2018 12:27

Well we are almost packed. Ros has been busy getting all the cloths together. Her case us packed and very close to the 20 kilo limit. I am taking the small case 10 kilo limit. They can both go in the hold, and we can take a small bag each, on the plane.

Mel you must keep your eye on the advert on T.V. about how you can get your scripts. sent through the post. It will save you all this trouble going to HOLSWORTHY to get them.

Gill who oh when are you and OH be finished in your garden ?? You just seem to find more things to do. You both must be totally worn out. Please don't over do it xxx

I am still not eating properly. Saturday I had a roll at lunchtime, and didn't eat again until 4.30 pm yesterday. I only ate a few mouthfuls then, and haven't had anything since.I'm just not hungry. Ros keeps saying "YOU MUST EAT" I think tonight will be Shin of beef in the oven with mash and VEG. I have cooked a big pot full, so Ros is going to get some Kidneys, and make a S & K pie for another day.

I think I will try and eat a ham sandwich and have a COC.

I think Jane is back next week.

Yes Frank you must eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't have you fading away can we?

Had lunch and I am going to have another go at the moon hare brooch.

Gillx

Gillx Report 10 Sep 2018 18:57

You should try to eat Frank, you'll feel much better, even if it's little and often rather than one large meal.

How are you getting on with your brooch Mel? Yes you should be able to have your meds delivered if it's easier for you, mind you it's nice to get out once in a while even if it's only to the chemist isn't it?

OH and I have been busy in the garden again. Yes Frank there's still a few bits and bobs left to do before the winter is here, so we're plodding through them. I've planted some more bulbs and only have a few to put in the planter that OH is making for the back garden. He has made the trellis bit for the back but it looked like rain so he stopped and cut the lawns. I've sorted out the edges of the borders and done some weeding, so we're getting there slowly. OH has also painted the gate. We were going to re-pot the apple tree but it started raining a bit and went cold, plus it was gone 5pm so we stopped for the day and came in.

I've just watched the weather and it's going to pour down with rain most of tomorrow so I doubt we'll be in the garden. I think this is why it's taking so long to finish everything off, the weather keeps changing so some days we just can't get on with anything.

Evening all,

It's been a mostly cloudy day here with just the odd bit of sun , not at all cold though .
We have been busy getting the pool pumped out and packed away for the winter ,we like to give it a good clean before we pack it away and it takes a while to do.

Oh dear Frank more bruises :-( so not long before you go away now you'll be able to have a nice rest in the sun but you must try and eat ,if you don't fancy a big meal could you try just eating a little bit of some thing every couple of hours that way your getting a little some thing inside you .

So hopefully having a word with the chemist you might get the right tablets then Mel, our Boots seem to be getting worse with the prescriptions not ready on time or having to wait for tablets to come in .
That's good the pain has eased in your legs and hip lets hope it continues that way as it's shopping day for you tomorrow isn't it ?

That's good your back is feeling better Gill but don't do to much to soon or you might feel it again .
Dear Sandra keeping an eye out for the tele programmes she's so good bless her ,did she watch the Orangutan Jungle School ? i think it was on channel 4 if she didn't then try to get it on catch up for her as i'm sure she will love it

So Anne must have gone :-( and no Liz for a few days , i think it's Ian's last day of his treatment tomorrow ,lets hope he will soon be ringing that bell .
