HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEWIS.
Meant to type that before I went out and forgot all about it.
Did Lidl and Morrisons today as I needed a few bits from Lidl and wanted to see if they still had the wire stripper I saw in there a few weeks ago. They did'nt. I should have bought it when I saw it. I did get him something in there though.
We all remember Smarties don't we? Well my favorite was always the orange one because thats the only one that tasted of oranges. Today in Morrisons they had a tube of Orange Smarties so I bought myself one. Its like the M & Ms I like the orange ones again. I never eat the orange ones till last when all the other colours have gone.
Jane there could be three seals in that lovely picture. If you look above the biggest one it looks like one is coming straight at the front one. You can see the head and flippers. Head turned slightly to the side. Its a great photo. I hope you are a bit better tomorrow if you have to go to the Rheumatologist.
Poor Gill I hope you feel better tomorrow now all the dust has been cleaned up.

Morning all
Overcast here today but the sun is trying it's best to come through the clouds. At least we don't have the rain and wind anymore, so that's good.
I have the same problem as you Mel with our Aldi, if you don't buy things when they are there then you miss out. Pleased to see you bought him something else though. I like the orange sweets the best too, especially in a bag of Revels. although they look the same as the coffee ones which I'm not to keen on.
Love the pic Jane, I think you're right and there is another seal to the right under the water. Hope are you feeling today. I'm starting to feel a little better so think you might be right and it's all the dust. OH is out today so if I can reach I'm going to finish off the last bit of filler on the bathroom ceiling above the bath for him. It'll be a nice surprise when he comes home later, plus it'll be almost ready to paint then, he'll just need to sand it back first when he's ready.
How did Lewis's birthday go Frank, hope he didn't get to drunk and is paying the price this morning? ;-) ;-) How are you and Ros. Maybe a few light jobs will be okay for Ros, like Jane said. At least she is sitting down doing them.

Morning Gill and all.
Well I haven't been to sleep since I got up yesterday morning. I went to bed at 10.15 last night, laid awake until 12.00 when Ros came in. I got up and read and watched T.V. until 3.30 am. Went back to bed and couldn't get off to sleep, so got up at 4.30 and again read and watched T.V.
I think the reason was because I had a flash thought, of sitting on the train going away to be EVACUATED in 1942. From there my brain continued to remember so many things that had happened in my life. As you can imagine I am totally worn out. Ros wanted me to go back to bed when she got up at 9.30. but I just can't be bothered.
The new flowers arrived this morning, so I hope these last longer than the others
Lovely photo from Hannah Jane, I can imagine they are enjoying their break, especially if they are having our beautiful weather.
II haven't spoken to Lewis since yesterday morning, so wouldn't know if he was out with his mats last night. I would have thought he will celebrate at the weekend, as he has to drive to UNI. this morning.
Simon rang this morning, checking up on us both. He is such a changed person since he married Sally. All for the better, I am pleased to say.
What a beautiful DAWN it was this morning. I sat and watched the sunrise just after 6.00 am.
Carolyn is on the phone to Ros, hearing chapter and verse of the Heart attack, and how wonderful she was treated by the staff at Kettering Hospital.
Valerie came to dinner last night and stayed until after 9,00 pm. I did all the washing up and drying the plates, pots and pans and sprayed all around with Detol spray. This morning Madam sprayed all around again, thinking I hadn't done it.!!!!
All showered and shaved, now I will dust and hoover around, and sort out what we will have for dinner tonight.
Have a nice day and enjoy this weather. Speak again later.

Afternoon All,
We have wall to wall sunhine again today and its really beautiful out there.
Frank I could'nt sleep last night either. Was it something to do with you I wonder? I kept looking at my watch and the hours were passing and I tossed and turned and woke oh up a couple of times. I must have dropped off for 4 hours in the end and got up just before 9am.
As there is no breeze today I am going to clean the chickens out then come in and have a shower and hair wash as their house is running alive with red spider mite.
Glad to hear your feeling better this morning Gill but if oh has a bit more sanding to do you may get the throat back again.
Washing is on the line and I have to cook the meat for the pie tonight.

Sorry to hear you both had a bad night Mel and Frank, hope you have a better one tonight.
The sun is out now and it's lovely and warm, I've just watered the plants in the greenhouse, it's quite hot in there and I don't want them drying out.
Yes, I'm feeling much better today Mel, I have just finished off the filler on the bathroom ceiling for OH as he's out today, so he'll have a nice surprise when he comes home. I know he wanted to cut the lawns so it's one less job for him to do now. All the ceiling needs now is a light sand, which I'll probably do in a day or two then OH can paint it. Then it'll be onto the kitchen to finish that job off.
I think it was the dust making my throat sore and probably the cold wind hurting my ear, thank goodness it's not an ear infection as they make me really ill.
All the housework and washing is done so I'm going to settle down with Sandra and catch up with a few more programmes off the planner. It's almost empty now, apart from the things we've put a keep on. I'm also looking forward to the F1 at the weekend :-)

Barry is here, working like a TROGAN. He hasn't stopped. He has trimmed the front bush and the wisteria, the bush behind the garage, cut both lawns and trimmed the edges. He is worth his £12,50 an hour, I know I couldn't do what he does in the time he is here.
I have prepared dinner for tonight. Minted lamb steaks, new potato's, peas, carrots, runners and sweetheart cabbage.
While doing the veg, I came over all faint, and was as sick as a pig. I suppose the lack of sleep hasn't helped, plus I hadn't had anything to eat. But I have eaten now, and feel much better, apart from a touch of indigestion.
Gill I didn't know that the GP was held in Russia, until this morning when it was mentioned on .T.V.
Starting to cloud over here, after such a beautiful morning.
Mel, Don't start blaming me for you not sleeping. lol lol. I am at the point where I think I will be looking at the back of my eyelids before to long. I am sooooo tired.
I have started to make a shopping list, either for Ros to get or for another on line shop.
I hope you have a nice trip Liz, is this the one to Holland ??
Barry has just finished, and both the front and back gardens look great.

You had me so confused for ages Frank when I read your last post. You mentioned the GP in Russia and for some reason I was thinking of a doctor, until just now when I realised you meant the F1 Grand Prix.......silly me and I'm the one who's had sleep last night. To be honest I didn't know which race it was, so now I know it's the Russian one. There are so many, I lose track of which ones are on and when.
Hope you managed to get some zzz's and feel less tired now. I think you might be right and it was lack of sleep causing you to be sick, not having anything to eat wouldn't of helped either. Pleased to hear you're feeling better now. Try and relax for the rest of the day, if you can.
Barry has done a great job by the sounds of it. It's much better to look out on a tidy garden isn't it? I'll be glad when OH cuts our lawns later as they are starting to look a bit shabby with all the rain we've had recently. They're getting quite long. I've done everything else for now, the dead heading and weeding are done and of course I've finished planting all my bulbs, so I can just relax in the garden, until the weeds pop their heads up again. :-| :-| :-|

Afternoon All
Lovely day here too Mel. Wall to wall sunshine again :-D Crikey Frank no wonder you came over faint and sick . What with no sleep ,no food and running yourself off your feet had to take a toll on you. Lets hope you just drop into bed tonight and go out like a light (for the whole night). You will be happy that Barryhas done so much in the garden today. He certainly sounds well worth £12.50 an hour.
Gill you sound as though you are feeling ok again now . Thank goodness it wasn't an ear infection.I think last time you lost all your balance. More dust to come then when you start sanding that ceiling !!!.
I had my appointment this morning and am now being referred on to the Orthopedic Surgeon about my hip. I saw the XRay I had on my lower back and there is quite a shift in one of the vertebrae which is the cause of the pain as it traps one of the nerves. I will just keep taking the tablets that are pain modifiers. They have been working well . I was in and out really quickly which was good as I was doing my impression of a Barking Seal :-S :-S
Home Sure have been out this afternoon to fix our toilet in the main bathroom. At last it flushes without a terrible whining noise.
Hannah and Gareth have been Mackerel fishing !!!!! I just couldnt picture Hannah doing this. But it seems she caught 2 :-D :-D. Got a great pic :-D Will forward it.
I best get on and do something about dinner.

Evening all,
Another beautiful day here ,i have been to Norwich again with DIL ,i got some nice bits and pieces for the grandchildren for Christmas so i've made a start nice and early this year .
Frank you must eat ,it's a wonder you didn't flake out ,i hope you can manage to get a good nights sleep tonight you've been so busy since Ros came out of hospital and your getting over tired that's probably why your not sleeping very well. Barry sounds as if he's doing a good job in the garden keeping it all nice and tidy for you.
So you didn't have a good nights sleep either Mel ,i hope you get one tonight ,you feel awful the next day after missing sleep don't you. I have been waking up about two o'clock each night lately but luckily i soon drop off again.
Jane that was a lovely photo of the Seal from Hannah ,must have been a bit dicey standing near the edge though. Two Mackerel !! who's a clever girl LOL two for the price of one LOL i bet it was lovely out on the boat today just look at the blue sky . So being referred on to the Orthopedic Surgeon does that mean a new hip :-(
Gill it sounds as if it might have been the dust that gave you the ear ache glad your feeling better today ,if you do any more sanding i'd see if you could cover your ears to stop the dust getting in them again ,you need a pair of those ear muffs !! :-D or just a little cotton wool in the ears might help .
So your soon off on your holiday Liz ,hope you both have a lovely relaxing time .

Mandy I think a new hip might be on the cards :-S . But until I get an appointment who knows then it could be a year or two before I get on the list (with the way things are these days) I shall hobble along for now :-D Christmas shopping ! I have just got 2 packs of Christmas cards :-D But with all the Grandchildren it will be good for you to start getting bits and bobs now. I can't even think about Xmas yet what with a Hen do and then the Wedding!!!!!!!. I do wish (in a way ) that parents were not invited to these Hen do's . There is no way I will be able to stick it out for the whole 12 hours or more. I might just manage up until they go clubbing or whatever . It is in London and I don't want to be coming home on the late train with possibly lots of drunks so I might have to stay over somewhere near St Pancras.I need to have a good think about this. It has all gone far too mad with these things. I don't remember Hen Nights back when I married.I don't think they existed then. The same with Stag do's . I think Chris just went out for a drink with my Dad and the Best Man . How things have changed and the expense !!!!!!!! It's Bonkers.

So you think you may have to have a hip replacement too then Jane. You will be bionic sisters then with Janice having her second on edone. How is she getting on by the way? I hope she is'nt in as much pain as she was with the last one, poor girl.
Made a steak and mushroom pie for dinner and even though I say it myself it was superb and the pastry puffed up nicely too. I only have pastry on the top.
Oh told me after I woke him up last night soon fter he heard me snoring. I think he must have heard himself as I was definately not asleep with his snoring and talking in his sleep. The last time I looked at my watch it was 20 to 6am then I must have dropped off. My new watch has a light on it!!
Gill I expect your throat was making you have ear ache you know ear nose and throat all connected. When I get a sore throat it often goes to my ear. Perhap wearing a mask when you do the sanding would help.
I cleaned the big girls out. I put on all old clothes and stripped off at the back door and bunged them all in the machine. Then after I did the pie I went and washed my hair. It ws'nt as bad as I thought it was going to be but I must have a good wash dwn in the house at some point. I would really like to paint it and get oh to make me two new perches for them as the ones I have are two pieces of wood joined together and the mites get in between the wood and attack the girls at night when they are on the perches. I shall have to paint them again with my old cooking oil like I have before.

Good morning Mel and all you beautiful ladies XXX No I'm not after anything lol lol
Mel, I slept like a log last night. 10.30 pm to 9.30 this morning without a Pee break. First time ever.
Ros was siting on the sofa when I came out. I had my COT and asked if she fancied a fry up. I did Sausages, Bacon, mushrooms, tomato's and fried egg. She couldn't quit finish it all, but enjoyed what she had,
I decided to do a Shepards Pie for tonight, I phoned Tony and asked if he would like me to make them one too. Of course he said YES. So I have been busy in the kitchen. Everything is cooked now. Just got to mash spuds, and put everything into the dishes.
Val is no better this morning, so Tony is going to see the doctor this afternoon to try to get things sorted . She hasn't been to the toilet for over a week and not passed urine for 5 days. He is having to wash and dress her. She isn't drinking fluids, no mater how hard he tries to make her. I think she needs to be in Hospital, where she can get the care she needs.
Ros has driven to Towcester this afternoon for her hair appointment. It;s only 4 miles so she should be alright driving. Then she has a doctors appointment at 4,30 this afternoon. I think next week she has to go to Kettering for a MRI SCAN. The letter said i will be a TWO HOUR appointment. I will expext Carolyn will take her. Lots of APPOINTMENT words today ;-) ;-) ;-) Sorry.
So you are well on your way with Christmas presents Mandy. Ros buys a present most weeks, as she sees something she thinks (so and so) would like. It spreads the cost over a long period, and makes is easier for her.
I trust all you sickies are feeling a little better today.xxx
I'm off to complete the SHEEP @@@@ Pies. See you later

Meals on wheels delivered ;-) ;-) ;-). I have watered the front garden and the patio. I have the sprinkler going on the back garden now.
Ros is back from the hairdressers, and it looks lovely.
I saw Val. next door when I took he Shepherds pie round. She is siting in the chair in her nightdress and looks really ILL. I think she should be in hospital, and after Tony has been to see the doctor, I think that should be the next thing to happen. But I expect it will depend how Tony puts it across to the doctor. I know if it was my wife, I would have called 999 for an Ambulance.
Oh what a beautiful afternoon it is. I have been siting on the patio drinking a can of coke, without a top on. It is so warm.
That photo of Hannah catching Mackerel bought back some HAPPY MEMORIES of my sea fishing days, I am so envious of all those people, that can carry on with their hobbies of fishing. Never mind eh, I have been there and done it.
Going to move the sprinkler now, and hope I don't get soaked. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I have done the bed and washed it all and its nearly dry on the line. There's the big thick bathroom mat in the machine at the moment as I am having the uti room corner out. I found peanuts I did'nt know I had and fat balls for the birds.
Vac has conked out. The brush won't go round and just as I wanted to hoover the bedroom after changing the bed. Oh is taking a look at it now out on the decking.
Frank I really think Val should be in hospital if she has done a wee for five days. She will bu**er her kidneys up and must drink something as she will be very dehydrated. If I were you if Tony dos'nt do anything about it soon I think you should ring an ambulance or he should. :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

I agree Mel, but I don't feel it's my place to take over, I am sure Ros wouldn't be happy about it.
I have just compled another on line shop with Tesco. I have left the order open so Ros can have a look to see if there is anything she wants to add I have made the delivery for Monday afternoon between 1 and 2.pm
I don't mind if she wants to go with Martine on Saturday, but by me doing the shop on line, it will save her having to hump everything about and load in the car.
She has decided she isn't going to CHOIR tonight ,as it's a lot of standing up and she dosen't want to tire herself to much. I was going to mention it myself, but thought it was better coming from her. ;-) ;-) ;-)
It's still a beautiful, warm, sunny afternoon here. How is it with you ???
I have done some veg to go with he shepherds pie tonight. I asked Tony if he needed any, but he says he has some. I bet he won't do any. !!!!

Afternoon Everyone Mel I know you have mentioned mites in Chickens before. Is this a common thing? I was fascinated about you saying about using old cooking oil to brush on the perches. Does that kill off the mites? Would it not make the perches slippery :-D :-D
Frank, I thought you might like the pic of Hannah Fishing for Mackerel as I know you used to go when you lived here . Was it Mackerel you fished?
Val sounds as though she needs urgent treatment Frank. Why on Earth has Tony not done anything for her??? She will be totally dehydrated now . No it wouldn't be right for you to interfere and ring for an ambulance but surely Tony needs to get his act together and get her some help now. Not weeing for 5 days is obviously not normal but if she is not having any liquids at all then she wont be making the Urine although there will be some in her bladder. That would be a recipe for an infection with stale wee just sitting there. :-S I bet you were glad you werent the one to say to Ros not to go to Choir Practise :-D and I hope your order for Tesco Delivery has passed Ros's scrutiny ;-) :-D :-D
I have had my hair cut this afternoon and now I am all itchy as I havent changed my top. I have to rearrange an appointment that I have booked for 9th Dec. It is too close to the Wedding to have it cut.I don't want it looking newly cut so Nigel (my hairdresser ) has said to have it cut 3 weeks before the wedding.I shall do that tomorrow as I have to go back in to get this Gel Nailvarnish taken off .
Chris is off to a Council Meeting shortly . He is not really feeling like it but feels he has to go to see if there is any news to report on the developments going ahead around here.Normally Fitz would go too but he is going out this evening. So Chris will have to relay any important stuff.
I am so hot,I have had to have the fan on.I think it has been about 24 degs today. We put the heating on the other day as it was chilly so that is turned right down for now.Tomorrow is looking a lot cooler. Thomas is on his jaunts somewhere. I haven't seen him since yesterday afternoon. He has obviously found a supply of Rats somewhere as there were 2 dead on the Patio this morning and he had one the night before. It is odd how Cats dont eat Rats but Eat Mice.
I made up a mixture for a Meatloaf this morning but when I looked in the fridge for Bacon to line the tin it was all gone. GARETH !. So I have left the mix in a bowl for now and will pick up some bacon in the morning after my nails are sorted. I did stop at 2 little shops on the way back from the hairdressers but neither had Smoked Streaky. One didn't even have streaky . Just Back Bacon.
I need to get my top off as the bits of hair stuck in the neck are driving me potty now :-S

Gosh I would'nt be able to stand that Jane. I have to cover myself right up when I cut oh's hair nd put my little rubber shoes on. If I get it in my shoes it seems to get into feet and then its like treading on a pin. Now I can't lift my feet up like I used to I dar'nt chance it.
Sounds like Gareth is a Bacon Baby. My mum used to call me that or her Biscuit Baby.
Still working on the uti room. I have found bird food I did'nt know I had and bird feeders golore (sp). They are now going out in the shed.
I also found a drum of Cheeselets in a cupboard and when I looked at the use by date it was 2013 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what else is in there that has run out of date????? Bet there's loads of out of date tins but I usually cook those up for the chickens.
The pheasents are getting on my nerves now. Every time I go onto the patio they are there asking for corn. They even found the back way onto the patio and then they mess all over it and oh walks it in.
I am doing burgers for up tonight and I shall have rosti sticks and he can have a few chips.
