Happy Birthday to Colin . I did not realise it was his birthday today. I hope he is having a good one.

I bet you were glad to get some antibiotics Jane. Hopefully you should start to feel your cough getting better in a day or two. It must be good to know you don't need statins too. OH and I were saying the other day that we seem to always be at the chemist and be coming away with bigger and bigger packages!! lol. :-S Did your handbag arrive and was it a good match for your shoes?
Gill, I remember feeling tired a lot and not sleeping well at your age because the hot flushes would wake me in the night. Mind you, you do do a lot in in the daytime and that could make you more tired than you would have been at age 20!

Jane its good you don't need a statin and that you now have something to get rid of your nasty cough. As Ann said you should be feeling the benifit in a couple of days.
I may go and do those present up after my shower which is where I am going now so see you all in the morning.

Thanks Ann for letting me know it might be my age. I do get hot flushes but not just at night. I've been a bit stressed as well lately with one thing and another so that might have something to do with me being tired all the time too. Plus like you said I do a lot during the day as well.

Good morning o you lovely people xxx
Well I am still on CLOUD SEVEN. after the visit of my Nephew Garry. He is the first to come to the bungalow to see us. CONSIDERING I have SIXTEEN others. It tells me something.
Ros has an appointment with the Doctor at 10.20 this morning. Bl@@dy water infection again. I know she is fed upto the high teeth with them. She is going to ask for a referral to the hospital. There must be something they can do about it.
I am hopefully going to try pruning the apple tree this morning. We have an extendable cuter with a saw attachment . I also want to cut the front lawn.
I do hope you are all well and healthy. Please take care of yourselves xxxx

Morning all,
Never mind about us Frank do you really think you should be sawing anything with your bad shoulder?????????????? let alone mow the lawn.
British morning here and they say this is the last for us as the jet stream has moved bringing with it some rain. I did'nt think it could last tooo long this nice spell.
Gosh its Friday again and we have Gardeners World again tonight. It only seems like yesterday I was watching it.

Oh has just taken me down the back lawn to see what he thinks may be a hog poo and it does look like one. So I will start feeding again and have my tablet on at night so I can keep my eye on the feeding ring. I do hope it is as I have seen nothing now for weeks and weeks.

Full of information this morning Mel. xxx
I have mowed the front lawn. (It's not that big) and watered the front garden and lawn all the pots down the side of the bungalow, and the patio. I am going to sprinkle some more grass seed over a few patches on the front lawn. With a bit extra for he birds.
Jan is on her way here from Devon. She is staying at her daughters for the weekend, and has asked that I book a table for Sunday Lunch (Her treat). She will then set off from here to go home.

Afternoon All Frank, you are a glutton for punishment are'nt you ! I hope you didn't attempt the pruning and sawing . Can you not get Barry to do this kind of work? Poor Ros and yet another infection. I think she is right to ask to be referred .
So signs at last of Hogs Mel :-D. That is good news :-D :-D
Gill, I was like Ann with the hot flushes ,tiredness even feeling anxious for no apparent reason. Night sweats for me were dreadful. I hope you don't get any of those. I always think us women have to go through all these debilitating things when we get to a certain age and men have nothing :-S :-S . Well Prostate trouble but not the flushes ,foggy brain and weariness .
I went for my blood test this morning . BUT I forgot it was a fasting one and had porridge :-S :-S So that was a waste of time. I now have another appointment for next tuesday . Remind me not to have anything to eat !!!!!!.I was so cross with myself ,I let out a big swear word when the nurse asked me if I had eaten. It just came out . it was Bu**er :-S and quite loud too. I was cross before I even got there as I set off with the blood form and had to turn back to get it which made me short on time. So all in all I was in a right old grump this morning.
I watched the space station pass over last night :-D :-D. I had heard what time to see it here and it was such a clear night it was brilliant.

Evening all,
Another warm sunny day and it feels really muggy .
Gill i didn't know what you meant when you said about going to see the Giants but then this morning i saw them on the news ,they look great ,i loved the dog :-D i bet Sandra loved seeing them .
Naughty Frank for even thinking about pruning the Apple tree ,i'm sure Barry would do it for you . Poor Ros not another infection she must be really fed up with them now and i don't blame her asking for a referral . How lovely to have your Nephew turn up like that what a lovely surprise for you both .
That's good if it was Hog poo Mel ,i expect they've been on their holiday and have now come home to get a good feed before their long sleep .
Thanks for Colin's birthday wishes i think he enjoyed his day we had family here for a meal and he had plenty of help to blow the candles out on his cake . He had a eye test this afternoon and needs new glasses which will take a week ,he also got some drops for his eyes as he has been having trouble with dry eyes night and morning .
Jane you must have been annoyed with yourself this morning especially after going back to get the form and then trying to get there on time , but it's easily done .

Evening All,
Oh Frank, poor Ros, one thing after another and too many of these water infections. I hope she got a referral. I know it's frustrating when you see something needs doing, but I would let Barry do the sawing too, your shoulder will appreciate it. :-)
Gill, it might be worth me mentioning that they also picked up that I had an underactive thyroid at that time too, which is quite common, and which makes you tired as your metabolism slows down. It's likely your doc would do a blood test for that if you saw him. It's easily treated if it was so not a worry. It can be hard to know what might be causing tiredness at times as getting over a virus can leave you tired long after other symptoms have gone.
I wonder what has happened to all the hogs Mel? It does sound as if one is around now and leaving a calling card though. You do well finding surprise gifts for your OH. Mine likes to know most of what he is having, so has already got about 5 books for me to hide away till the day. He also wants a new briefcase and a new filofax up to now. I think I'd like a new camera this year! ;-)
I loved The Beatles right from that first song and my first date with my first OH was to go and see them in A Hard Days Night. I liked their early days and music the best!
How annoying Jane, but we are just on auto pilot when we get up, I've nearly had a cup of tea without thinking sometimes. I've even left me a big note on the kitchen worktop the night before! lol.
We had a full house at beading this morning, but only one cat present! She lay on the settee watching our goings on. I was offered the pretty black and white she cat from next door to my friend',s as she needs a new home as her owners are moving abroad. My friend even offered to come and feed her for me when we went away! She would have had her in addition to her own two, but they don't get on! :-0 It's a shame the owners aren't taking her with them.
I saw the Giants on the news this morning too Mandy and didn't realise that was what Gill meant. The dog's movements were very realistic.

I thought those giants were amazing . Loved the dog too Mandy :-D. It is just so clever to be able to manouvre these huge things. Dry Eyes are horrible . I have those artificial tears for when I get the Dry Eye . They do help.I bet OH didn't get a look in for blowing out his candles!! They would have been blown out even before he took a puff LOL Fish and Chips and Caulflower Cheese for us tonight James is havng a ready meal before he goes down to Canterbury to Jess . But he is still at work :-S So a very late journey for him tonight.

I haven't read any of the posts yet, will do that tomorrow but I thought you might like to know how Sandra's day went.
She's had a great day, we took her to see the Giant at New Brighton this morning. Most of them are in Liverpool but for the first time they had one near us. It was a surprise for her, it was on the news this morning so I woke her up and showed her then said would you like to go and see one of them......well, as you can imagine she was so excited.
When we arrived the 33 foot man Giant was asleep on the beach, he was then woken up by a brass band and then he walked the whole length of the promenade. We managed to keep in front of him the whole way, he stopped off for a drink, courtesy of the fire brigade then he walked a little further and sat down and fell asleep, you should of heard him snore, it was very loud.
She had a great time and took some photos and videos. I'm just charging her batteries up so she can take a look at them as her camera/video recorder runs off batteries. There were a few people there who said they would email me some video's and photo's as Sandra's batteries were running out and she was a bit upset. Luckily the batteries lasted the day in the end so she was very pleased.
So all in all she had a great time and said it was the best day ever......bless her <3

Morning all,
It sounds like Sandra enjoyed her surprise and had a very good time on her day out. Did you all go? or was it just Sandra and yourself?
We have rain this morning and not a breath of wind and its that fine stuff and the leaves are falling off the ash tree and dropping straight down to the ground.

Good morning all from a very wet Northampton.
Just my luck, I watered everywhere yesterday, for it to rain today.
Jan was suppose to be here around 2.00 pm yesterday. That ended up to be 4,30. Traffic jams around Bicester. We sat for a while having a chat, then went off to get something to eat. We tried one, where a load of scruffs were boozing after work. The noise was unbearable, so we walk out. We ended up where we are going on Sunday. The food was perfect as was the beer lol lol She dropped us off and went on to Kerry's at Weldon. near Corby. It's hoped that Kerry and Alexander will join us for lunch on Sunday, as Mark is at a food fair with all his spices etc.
Between Ros and Jan they have suggested we have a family get together of the Friday before my 80th. Then Conrad and Jan will take us to Devon on the 22nd.for xmas and New Year.
I walked to the pub to watch WEST HAM V Brighton. who won 1.0. BLOW and BLAST. I saw very little of the match as a chap asked if he could join me at my table. He had no interest in FOOTBALL and told me his life story throughout the match. He is from Folkestone, Kent. Split from his family and bought a narrow boat. A very lonely man. He even offered to walk me home, as i was a dark night. !!!!
I had a great number of people come up to see asking how ROS was after her Heart Attack. She is known and liked by so many people.Even 20 year old lads are asking.
I sat till 11.30 with Ros, then turned in. She came in at 12.45 and I was still wide awake. In fact I was still awake at 4.45. That was the last time I looked a the clock. I was up by 8.00, and feeling rather tired sitting here .
Ros is not shopping with Marine today, as Jan MIGHT call over his afternoon and take Ros out, possible to Milton Keynes. If they do they will call in for a tea and cake where Lewis works. THAT will SURPRISE him !!!
Still cold and raining, so I will get my head in my book, and grab a few zzzz.
I hope you are all well I must try to read the posts, but I know you understand xxxx
