It's raining here at the moment, after a lovely sunny day.

Pleased to hear you had a good nights sleep Frank, I bet you feel better for it today. I agree with you and think Val should be in hospital. When is she seeing the doctor?

Love the pic of Hannah Jane, the fish were quite big and she looks so pleased doesn't she? Hope after changing your top you feel less itchy now. So Gareth has eaten all the bacon, you'll have to make the meatloaf quickly tomorrow before he sees the bacon you're buying.

So you're having a sort out Mel? I bet you have lots more room now you've chucked all the out of date stuff away.

My mum finally visited me today, she seems to have stopped calling around as often for some reason. She's probably to busy seeing her friends and my sister. I was taking a look at my family tree when she came around and she gave me some information on my aunt Dot's family, including her great grandchild who was born the day before she died. So that's a bit more of my tree done. I still can't find anything on the family with all the brick walls though.

I was going to have another go at the bathroom ceiling but got into my family tree instead so OH has just finished off the sanding. He's going to do the first coat of paint tonight.

Since I cleaned all the dust away the other day my throat and ear have been okay Mel, I hope they don't start hurting again now OH has done more sanding. It was only a small amount so I should be okay.....hopefully.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today Jane. Have you decided about the hen's do yet?

Sheets and cover all ironed and I hav'nt stopped today. I think I have earned a rest tonight.

I started watching a film last night to see what it was going to be like so I have that to watch tonight. Its only a childrens film so nice and light hearted.

Frank do you know if anything has been done about Val? I hope Tony got the doctor and he did something for her. Its been worrying me ever since I read your post. <3

There's one more little job I have to do tonight and thats fill up my pill caddys.

It has certainly been a lovely day today and I hope its not the last of the good weather this year as when the sun shines I always get on well.

BT have just changed my email page and I can't get anyones email up. Why do they have to keep changing things. I just get used to using something and then its all different.............Bah Humbug.............

It says customise your home page. I liked it just the way it was thank you very much.

You're lucky Mel, I changed over to BT a couple of years ago and I've never been able to get onto my emails from the start. Something to do with my password. I tried ringing them but didn't get anywhere which is why I never used my BT account. I hope you can sort it out soon. Let me know if you need my email address again.

It sounds like you've been a busy bee today, I think you've definitely earned a rest tonight. Enjoy your film. Which one is it?

I've been missing Rosie so thought I'd put her picture up. I do wonder what happened to her, she hasn't been around for months. I doubt I'll ever see her again now. :-(

The film is on the firestick and its a childrens film its clled The Last Mimsy.

Yes Mel she does but she can only wear gold. I'm the same, which is a shame as there are a lot of nice costume jewellery out there we both like. Our ears become very itchy and sore........must be allergic to something, not sure what though. :-S

I've not heard of that film, was it good?

Night Night

Good morning all,

Patient all fed and watered, and I had some toast and marmalade, with my 2nd COT.

Jane, throughout the Autumn and Winter we fished the East Coast for COD. It has been known to come home after a days fishing with 30/40 lbs of filleted Cod. A lot of which I sold to neighbours. It helped to pay for my fishing trips. The Spring and Summer we fished most of the South Coast and down to Cornwall. We could and did catch a variety of Conger Eel, Pollock, Bass, Bream, Ling, and many more.
So Gareth is a bacon person. Ros won't eat smoked bacon, so we tend to eat unsmoked back bacon. It's is manly me anyway. Ros sometimes has a bit of bacon when she has Baked Beans on Toast.

Mel, it blows your mind when you find these Out of Date things, Tin foods should be fine, but when I find Packets of Sauce mixes O oD. they go straight in the bin.

I understand Dr TAYLOR is calling to see Val. today. Lets hope h does something about her. Even Valerie (SIDS WIFE) called in yesterday and rang Ros to say how ILL she looked.

Sally rang this morning to check up on us. As I have said before, she runs TWO ambulance stations. She called a Paramedic into her office yesterday to thank her for the way she had looked after her MIL (ROS). The poor girl thought she was going to get a TELLING OFF over something or other. Then realised the connection between Sally and Ros. They both saw the funny side of it. lol lol

Glad you are felling a bit better now Gill. The dust can play havoc with your breathing.

Looks a nice morning out there. I am considering cleaning the windows outside. So will go and check if it's too cold. ;-) ;-) ;-) Might be a good excuse not to do them.

Ros is showered and dressed and will continue her knitting of POPPIES and SALLY'S JUMPER.

Not sure if we will use up the Sheep @@@@ Pie tonight, or do something different. DECISIONS DECISIONS.

Not a nice sunny day today but at least its not raining. It is very overcast with a grey sky so we may have rain later.

Had a good nights sleep again last night did you Frank?

Oh has put my email page back to normal so I now have my email addresses and am just writing to Cousin Hilary and trying to attach a photo which I think may be her mum and dads weddng. I found it last night when I could'nt get into my emails I spied Photos in the side bar and it has ALL the photos you lot have sent me in it and my scans from the old pc which I hav'nt been able to find since having the new pc.

I am trying to send it to Hilary but not having much luck at the moment.

I have the Karcher on charge, so not able to clean windows yet.

I see Tony's car is out, so she must be home alone. Do I go and "BLACK MY NOSE" to see if she is alright, or stay away ?? I think the later would be best, she might still be in bed, and I would hate for her to have to get up to open the door. I will wait until I see his car back then ring him to see how she is.

Fair bit of cloud building up now, so it might be the windows won't get cleaned today.

Can't help with your problem Mel, I have a forward to on my laptop. Can OH not help ??

I had a fairly good night last night thanks, slept once Ros came in. Had to get out o the loo around 3.00 am and as I closed th door behind me, the door bottom went over my right toes. I sid have a few words with the door !!! :-0 :-0 :-0

Its horrid when you do that Frank. I have done that too and it don't half hurt so I am not surprised a few words were said.

I hope you can find out later how Val is and whether she has seen the doc or is in hospital. Perhaps thats where Tony has gone? Love to Ros and I am still collecting pom poms and bits tsend her.

I have successfully sent the picture to my cousin but had to send it seperately to the email as the lot was too big in one go. Her time line is completely different to ours so I shall wait to see a mail from her either later tonight or tomorrow. I am so pleased I found it before she comes over here.

Liz is away today untill the 4th of October.

After sitting with Ros doing nothing, I decided not to do the windows, they don't look that bad. I suppose not having had a lot of rain has helped.

The doctor was sending a nurse to take bloods from Val. and get them tested. Being it's the weekend I don't suppose anything will happen until Monday. I'm afraid I would have kicked up merry hell, and gone over the doctors head and called an Ambulance.

Even though I have done an on line shop, Ros will still go out with Martine tomorrow, as there is a small list the she likes to choose herself.

The day Liz gets back will/would have been my 59th wedding anniversary had I stayed married to my first wife. So some good things are well forgotten.

Tomorrow night is when we have been invited to a GOLDEN wedding party at the football club. We will go, to show our faces, but won't stay to long. It's not a place that Ros likes to visit, it's a bit basic. :-| :-| :-|

We have decided to heat up the Shepherds pie tonight, I have done some Veg. so an easy meal tonight. ;-) ;-)

My neck and shoulder have been aching today, so perhaps it was trying to tell me something, and that's why I didn't do the windows . That's my excuse, and I am sticking to it. lol lol

Afternoon All
Another lovely day but ooh it feels quite nippy now . Heating is back on.I have spent all aftetnoon on line looking for some kind of jacket (faux fur). The one I ordered arrived this morning and is beautiful but TOO SMALL :-( :-(. It would have been ideal over the dress for the wedding . Can I find another one!!. NO. I shall look again tomorrow.I have a headache from just staring at the screen for so long and almost going boss-eyed :-S

I hope the Dr has been by now to see Val .Something is obviously going on with her .How many days ago n ow was it you said she lost the use of her legs Frank? Plus the not eating ,drinking and not passing any urine :-S How old is she?
That was really nice of Sally to thank the Paramedic who was called out to Ros when she collapsed .I am sure the thanks was really appreciated :-D

Mel now you have all your pics back did you find the one with me in the Beans? You asked me a while back if I still had it but I have lost it forever. If you do have it maybe you could send me it? I looked so young then !!

I am invited to Hannah's Hen Do as is Gareth's Mum and my Sister. We will be the 3 oldies. Oh my goodness its going to be quite a do . Starting off at midday in central London for some kind of activity !!! whatever that might be then on to somewhere for drinks at 4pm . 7.30 it is off for a slap up meal in a Private room somewhere . Minimum cost for hire of room ,food and drink is £2,000.! I think there are 24 people in the party.
Then at 10pm it is off somewhere else for more drinking and partying. This is the part I will not be joining in with nor Janice or Liz (Gareths Mum) Long gone are the days of nightclubbing for us :-D. Chris and Larry were invited to the Stag WEEKEND down in Wiltshire but have declined saying they will leave it to the young ones :-D. The expense of all these celebrations is ridiculous too. But this is what they seem to do these days.

I hope Liz and Ian will enjoy their trip and wedding in Austria.Just the thing for them now after the weeks of treatment Ian has had.

Daddy Longlegs are coming out in force now . They are getting everywhere :-S

The other week we were talkng about how tall we are. Well I got Gareth to measure my height and I have lost an inch. I'm now 5'1" :-S Chris 5'10 Gareth 6'1" and Hannah 5'4/5.
I've made a Meatloaf for dinner and it needs to go in the oven now. I didn't realise it was so late.

No Jane I did'nt find that lovely pic of you in the beans. Boo hoo. It was all the email pictures I got into and luckily I had sent this wedding pic I wanted to AUnty Doreen. She has passed away now too.

I have chicken breasts for dinner with roasted pots, carrots and parsnips and peas. O and stuffing for oh.

Ha Ha ! Frank. Made me laugh when you said the place was too basic for Ros :-D :-D

Val must be ok enough to remain at home for now if the GP was happy just to have her bloods done. She really doesn't sound good though does she. :-(

Good job you didn't attempt the windows today if your neck and shouders are hurting. You should see the state of the inside windows here!!!!! :-S :-S :-S They are shocking .
The worst I have ever seen them. I think with the hot summer and having all the windows open all the dust from the fields (harvesting) has just ended up on the inside :-S

Chris has eaten and enjoyed my Meatloaf but is now off ot bed as he is still not feeling 100%. James is still on his way home from work so I will wait and eat with him.

Gill I wonder what has happened to dear little Rosie? I hope nothing bad has happened to her. maybe she has been busy having babies ?

Good morning dear FRIENDS,

No news on Val. next door. Tony's car was out last night from 7.00 till 9.30 So nothing has changed with his routine. He was out shopping earlier this morning. then I noticed a small white car outside, that is still there. Either a nurse or perhaps a CARER. When the car goes, I with ring for an update. Not being nosey, just concerned. Val was 75/6 in the last week or so. So no spring chicken

A Dr did call yesterday but not from our surgery, who and what he is I don't know.

Ros has just gone to meet Martine with a little list of things she can get. It will make her feel she is being useful. ;-) ;-) ;-) I have hoovered and dusted all round this morning, so she won't be tempted to do that later .

Valerie B rang last night. She had been to Milton Keynes by BUS on the way back the bus broke down , and had to wait OVER one and a half hours for another bus to be sent. Not a Happy Bunny.!!!

Another iffy night last night. In and out to the loo, then awake at 4,50 am I lain until 6.30 then got up and had tea.

I see West Ham are playing Man. Utd at 12.30 today. DO I or DON'T I go to the pub.??? Knowing I will be going out again this evening. ??

Time for a shower and shave. Then I will ry to use my "TENS PEN" on my neck and shoulder. It just might give me a little relief.

I can understand you not wanting to get involved in the late night partying Jane, for the HEN NIGHT. I, like Chris, would also leave the STAG NIGHT to the youngsters. Just wouldn't be able to stay the pace.

Another glorious day.It is so warm in the sunshine.Chris has been doing some planting but is now fading. James looks like death warmed up too and I am just the same really.
This Virus has just knocked the stuffing out of all of us.
I had to go food shopping and managed to keep my cough under control for most of the time until I got tot he till . It was embarrassing as people kept turning around and looking. One lady said "OOH thats a bad one you have there" and was I on antibiotics
I expained it was most likely a Viral thing so no antibiotics. It will clear up eventually .

So Frank you have been taking note of the comings and goings next door LOLOL
I seem to have a picture in my head of Twitching Curtains ;-) ;-) Only kidding . I know you are concerened for Val. More so than Tony. At least someone has been out to her this morning . Ros will have enjoyed being out with Martine getting some bits and bobs.

What has happened to all the Hogs then Mel? It is very unusual for there not to be any around in your garden.The fact there are no Hog Poos too is strange. Maybe they have moved next door to the Big House :-D

I was going to do Steak and Chips for us all tonight but Chris doesn't want Steak :-S as we have Beef again tomorrow . So it is Beer Battered Cod instead . James will cook his own steak as he doesn't trust me to cook it just the way he likes it. That is fine by me :-D

We have a small fillet steak each tonight.

Oh was down by my pond and saw another smaller fish than the one we have seen before. The sun was on the pond and stood and watched for quite a while before I went up the shop. He saw more black tiny ones and I saw two little yellowy ones about an inch long so I have more babies. How lovely..............

Emm next door is taking the boys to Westward Ho tomorrow for a surfing lesson. I bet the sea is going to be really cold. I think its only George who is doing it. She is bound to send me some pics. The last time they went there last week Sam dropped a big pebble on Georges finger nd he has lost his nail today. Em said it went black before George could get to her.
