Scottish and Irish records
We do have Scottish census records on the site. These date from 1841 to 1901.
The WW1 and WW2 death indexes contain details of many (but not all) Irish and Scottish servicemen, particularly those who served in the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. Details of Scottish and Irish soldiers, in particular, were passed to the General Register Offices for Scotland and Ireland respectively. Apart from that our records are for England and Wales.
You can still use Genes Reunited to search for your Scottish or Irish relations. If you know exactly who you are looking for, then you can use the 'Search Trees' page where you can complete the relevant details for the names you are looking for. You can add in a year of birth and a place of birth. You'll also see an option to search up to 50 years either side of your entered year of birth. When you see the results you will see the exact name matches along with year and place of birth details. Also, when you view your tree we'll show you if there any matches to the names you have already added. We will show you matches with other trees on the site.
If you do want to look at specific records though, we do offer you some help in our Family History guide here.
